On Tuesday, Ribblesdale School hosted our very first Year 3 & 4 Girls' Football Tournament, bringing together ten enthusiastic teams for a fantastic afternoon of football.
A huge thank you to the brilliant young referees from Ribblesdale, who did an outstanding job throughout the event and were excellent role models for all of the players.
The teams were split into two groups of five, with each team playing every other team in their group before the top two progressed to the knockout stages. The standard of football was excellent throughout, and, incredibly, every knockout game was settled in normal time, meaning we managed to avoid the dreaded penalty shootouts!
Congratulations to all of the teams for their fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. A special well done to our medal winners:
π₯ Peel Park Primary School Accrington β Champions (remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament)
π₯Langho and Billington St Leonard's Church of England Primary School

Our Rhyddings Sports Leaders were in fantastic form as they led 10 schools through our Team Building Festival!
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a variety of exciting activities designed to develop teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. These included an orienteering challenge led by Outdoor Education NW Ltd, a nature scavenger hunt, and a series of team-building challenges that had everyone working together and encouraging one another.
A huge thank you to all of the schools for taking part and to Outdoor Elements for delivering such an engaging orienteering activity. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, new friendships being formed, and pupils growing in confidence through the power of teamwork.

What an incredible day of netball at the Ribble Valley Primary Schools tournament hosted by Clitheroe Royal Grammar School - Main School
With temperatures soaring throughout the day, it was fantastic to have access to some indoor space, allowing players to cool down and recover between matches. A huge thank you must go to the amazing young timekeepers and umpires from Clitheroe Grammar School, who did a superb job and helped the event run smoothly from start to finish.
Special mention to St Mary's RC Primary, Osbaldeston whose players showed tremendous commitment and resilience, competing brilliantly despite having only just returned from their residential trip and running on very little sleep!
The standard of netball was outstanding throughout the competition. One semi-final saw the league champions and tournament favourites knocked out by a dramatic golden goal, while the final itself was also decided by a golden goal in a thrilling conclusion to the day.
Congratulations to Salesbury CE Primary School, who held their nerve to secure victory and be crowned champions after an unforgettable final.
St Marys Osbaldeston were 2nd and Pendle 3rd

Looks like Baxenden St John's C of E Primary School had fun at our Party in the Park!
A fabulous day at Lancashire School Games "Party in the Park". Our pupils enjoyed learning circus tricks, playing on the park, joining in with a tennis session, eating ice-cream and turning themselves "colourful" in the colour run. Thank you Hyndburn and Ribble Valley School Sports Partnership for the opportunities. βΊοΈ
