💙 World Alzheimer’s Day 💙

Today, we remember and stand alongside the millions of people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, as well as the families, friends and carers supporting them every single day.

Dementia can change an individual so much, but the person is still there! Their memories may fade, their words may become harder to find, and familiar things may become unfamiliar, but they still deserve to be treated with patience, dignity, kindness and respect.

At Care with Dignity, we believe great care is about seeing the person behind the condition.

It’s about taking the time to listen. It’s about reassurance when someone is frightened or confused. It’s about preserving independence for as long as possible. And sometimes, it’s simply about sitting beside someone and making them feel safe.

💙 Today, we remember.
💙 Today, we raise awareness.
💙 Today, we celebrate the people behind the diagnosis.

Because every person has a story, and every person matters.

🌟Meet the Team: Amy 🌟

We’re delighted to introduce Amy, the newest member of the Care with Dignity family! 💙

Amy joined us recently and successfully passed her probation last month. We’re so pleased to have her officially become part of the CWDP team. 💛

Amy has a real passion for helping others and is driven by empathy, compassion and making a positive difference to the people she supports.

She’s already been making a huge impression with her colleagues and the people we support, and we’re excited to see her continue to grow in her role. ❤️

🏆FROM SILVER TOWARDS CHAMPION 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to share that Care with Dignity Partnerships has been selected as a case study as we work towards progressing from Silver Status to Champion for our training provision. 💙💛

For us, training has never been about simply ticking a box. It’s about creating learning that is relevant, engaging and practical, giving our team the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to provide OUTSTANDING person-centred care.

We share with you a tiny snippet of the amazing testimonials we have received. Our team have expressed what our training means to them and these words mean so much to us because they demonstrate what we strive to achieve every time we deliver training: learners who feel supported, confident, engaged and able to put their learning into practice.

Our journey from Silver towards Champion is about continually developing, listening to our learners and making sure our training makes a genuine difference to the people we provide care to.

We receive enquiries for our training from other care providers just through word of mouth and love that we can support other carers accross the county and even further afield.

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and excited to see where this next step takes us. 💙💛

Wish us luck 🤞🏻

🌟 I purposely waited for today to announce August Carers of the Month 🌟

With today being the start of Professional Care Workers Week, there was simply no way I could choose just one member of our team.

It feels like the perfect opportunity to recognise every single one of our incredible care professionals.

Every day, they show up for the people we support with compassion, patience, kindness and professionalism. They do the things that often go unseen, make difficult days easier, bring comfort when it’s needed most, and make a genuine difference to people’s lives.

So this month, there isn’t just one Carer of the Month.

There’s a whole team. ❤️

To every member of our care team, thank you for everything you do, everything you give, and for being the heart of Care with Dignity. 💙💛

August’s Carers of the Month: ALL OF YOU. 🥰👏

You deserve to be celebrated, not just this week, but every week.

🎉 100 YEARS OF A LIFE WELL LIVED 🎉

Today, we’re celebrating an incredibly special milestone for one of our wonderful service users as he turns 100 years old! 💙💛

A century of memories, experiences, stories, laughter, love and life is something truly extraordinary.

We were so proud to help him celebrate this incredible occasion, surprising him with a special birthday cake and some rather spectacular balloons! 🎂🎈

And there was another very special surprise…

💌 A birthday card from Their Majesties The King and The Queen, sent to mark his 100th birthday.

What an incredible achievement and such a wonderful moment to celebrate.

We’re privileged to be a part of his journey and to have the opportunity to share in moments like these. ❤️

While Mr RM gave verbal consent for this picture, we did not get his written consent to share his face with you and we take consent very seriously, while still celebrating this remarkable milestone with our community.

So today, we simply want to say:

Happy 100th Birthday! 🥳 Please join us in congratulating this incredible man. Here’s to a century of wonderful memories and to many more special moments to come. 💙

With love from everyone at Care with Dignity. People at the heart. Always. ❤️

I was just having a little ponder over who stood out to me the most for Carer of the Month (because they all do and it’s always so hard) and then realised I’d been so busy this summer that I hadn’t even announced July’s yet! 🤦‍♀️

Chantal has been working on a new initiative behind the scenes at CWDP and we are nearly ready to announce it! 💙

Chantal deserves all the credit for this initiative, which is going to change lives and bring a little bit of extra joy to those who need it most. ❤️

It’s something we’ve been working on quietly for a while, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder of what Chantal has created. Her passion, creativity and determination have been incredible, and she has gone above and beyond to turn an idea into something that we hope will make a real difference.

We’re not quite ready to tell you everything just yet… 👀

But watch this space, because we’ll be sharing more very soon and, when we do, we’ll be inviting our wonderful community to get involved. 💛

For now, congratulations Chantal. July’s Carer of the Month is very well deserved! 👏

Some people leave our care, but they never leave our hearts. ❤️

Today, some of our lovely carers took the time to visit a former service user in her new care home, simply to let her know that she hasn’t been forgotten.

The relationships we build with the people we care for are about so much more than the time we spend supporting them. We laugh together, share memories, celebrate milestones and we become family.

Moving on to a different home or a different chapter doesn’t erase those memories.

Because when you care for someone, you don’t just remember their care plan, you remember them. ❤️

We’re so pleased to see our team continuing to show that kindness, compassion and connection doesn’t have an expiry date.

And judging by the smiles, the feeling is very much mutual. 🥰

A big thank you to the family of Mrs BR who sent in all these lovely chocolates to us this week for no other reason than to say thank you for the care we have been providing🍫

We have also had biscuits sent in from the family of Mrs NB, and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful 🍪

It’s easy to think that appreciation comes when we’ve gone above and beyond or done something extraordinary, but sometimes it’s simply knowing that the everyday care, kindness and little things we do are noticed and valued 🥰

Our team works incredibly hard, and these thoughtful gestures mean so much to everyone. It’s not about the chocolates or the biscuits (although let’s be honest, they certainly will go down a treat 😂), it’s the sentiment behind them!

To both families, thank you for taking the time to make our team feel appreciated. We are incredibly lucky to care for such wonderful people and to have families who recognise the dedication of the people looking after their loved ones 💛💙

Investing in our team, investing in the future 💛

The demand for our nail technician service has grown so much over the last year that we’ve had to expand our team of trained nail technicians again!

Rather than recruiting from elsewhere, we believe in investing in our own people, giving them opportunities to learn new skills, develop professionally and progress their careers 💙

So we’re delighted to celebrate Abi, who has recently completed and passed her Nail Technician and foot care course! 💅

Abi is now another fantastic addition to our growing team, helping us to meet the increasing demand for our nail and foot care services while bringing even more choice and opportunities to the people we support.

At Care With Dignity, training and development isn’t just about ticking a box. We actively invest in our staff because we want them to grow with us, develop their skills and build careers they can be proud of.
From care qualifications and specialist training to additional skills like nail and foot health, we’re proud to create opportunities for our team to discover new talents and progress.

Congratulations Abi! We’re incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see where this new skill takes you. 🌟

💙 One of those moments that reminds us why we do what we do. 💙

Last night, one of our carers attended what was planned as a single-handed call. But as so often happens in care, things can change in a heartbeat.

Our gentleman became very unwell, was being sick and was struggling with his mobility. Our carer immediately recognised that the situation had changed, contacted 111 and requested additional support for a double up.

A paramedic attended, and our team continued to support him until the situation was safely handed over. When our carers needed to leave to attend their final calls of the evening, our On-Call team stepped in, stayed with him and waited for his daughter to arrive.

The feedback we received from both the family and the ambulance crew was incredible. ❤️

The paramedic was particularly struck by the level of support our team provided. He told us that at a previous call, he had arrived to find a patient who wasn’t breathing, and the care company had simply left when he arrived, without waiting to see whether the lady survived 😢

That comparison really stayed with us.

Because the care we provide is what care should look like.

It isn’t just about completing a task, ticking a box and moving on to the next call.

It’s about recognising when someone needs more.

It’s about knowing when to escalate.

It’s about supporting families.

It’s about making sure someone isn’t left alone in a frightening situation.

And sometimes, it’s about our On-Call team stepping in at the end of a long day because the job isn’t finished just because the scheduled visit is.

To our carers, our On-Call team and everyone involved last night:

We are incredibly proud of you. 💙

You demonstrated compassion, professionalism, teamwork and, most importantly, genuine humanity.

This is the standard we expect at Care with Dignity Partnerships.

Care with dignity. Care with compassion. Care that goes beyond the call. 💙
