Well here we are at the end of September, I don’t know about you but the older I get the quicker time seems to fly by.

Anyway it’s been another great week at the Abergavenny Petanque club.
Last Sunday 20th September 2026 we held our club Doubles Competition, the Competition format was a partial Round Robin and was not open to the public but for club members only, we started at 10am playing three games in the morning and 2 in the afternoon however due to the odd number all teams had one bye so while the day was spread over 5 games each team only played 4.

Many thanks to all who played or just came along to watch we had some completive Petanque, plenty of banter but most important of all everyone enjoyed themselves and even the weather was on our side with some beautiful sunshine.
All in all a great day out

Many Congregations to our winners who were:-

The Bowl Winner - Ron Smith & Pat Ford, Runners up Angle Awater & Kevin Matthias

The Plate Winner - Raj Kidnasamy & Diane Taylor, Runners up Peter Allsopp & David James
