What to pack for trans races!? 🎒👀

With just over 2 weeks to go until Trans Caledonia, here’s what I pack in my Rogla 5 for multi-day enduro races, and what I’d recommend having with you for six days of racing across Scotland.

From hydration and snacks to layers, tools and a few things you might not think about until you really need them… here’s my tried-and-tested race pack.

Although, confession… I did forget a warm layer, extra carb drink sachets and an inner tube 🤫😂. So basically, it’s mostly just full of snacks anyway. 🍬🍫

Save this one for race week! 🚵‍♀️💨

Our final planning weekend and we loved getting out on some of the trails we’ll be racing, working with the to support their ongoing maintenance work and trying on our fresh threads from

The trails are running amazing right now in the Tweed Valley, where we’ll be finishing the final few days of racing. If you’re in the area riding then give the local trail association a contribution or as some of the legends on the day were doing, giving up some of their holiday time to help on the trails they’ve just been riding! Kevin (also known as Mike), Sacha, and John weren’t even locals!

Six days battling it out across Scotland. Smashing the descents, conquering the climbs, embracing the weather and racing the clock… so you deserve a pretty good trophy 🏆

Our 2026 Trans Caledonia trophies have been made by Hope Technology , combining their unmistakable engineering style with the Trans Caledonia design.

We think they’ve absolutely nailed them. Thank you, Hope! 🙌

Now all that’s left is for someone to take one home… preferably covered in champagne 🍾

Whether you’re racing Trans Caledonia in September, or planning for another event, preparation can make all the difference to how the week goes. We’ve been lucky to have give our racers for 2026 his tips on how to train and prepare for such a demanding event.

Two months out and there’s still time to adapt and get the most from the event. While six days of racing will push every rider in different ways structured and consistent training can be massively rewarding.

One of the takeaways from Ben was about carving time out to get back to back days in before the event. Not always easy with day to day life.

Thanks to Ben for taking the time to answer questions from our riders ahead of the event.

Tracy’s top tips 🙌 Tracy Moseley recently hosted a webinar for our racers, sharing some of the lessons she’s learned from a lifetime of racing. Here are a few of Tracy’s trans race top tips:
🔹 Train for the fatigue. Back-to-back riding days are invaluable. Spend time in the saddle.
🔹 Don’t have long trails nearby? Keep the effort going. Ride the climbs at pace, drop into trails fatigued, and keep lapping.
🔹 Create a daily routine. Prep your kit, nutrition and hydration the night before. After each day, get your bike cleaned and fettled ready for the next day.
🔹 In blind racing, keep your head up, read the trail and stay in control.
🔹 Set your bike up for reliability, not just speed.
🔹 Choose a practical pack with room for layers, pads and essentials.
🔹 Recovery matters – fuel, hydrate, stretch, sleep, repeat.

Multi-day racing isn’t just about speed - it’s about preparation, consistency and looking after yourself and your bike throughout the week.
