TEAM SELECTION: INTER COUNTY SCOT WEST TEAM

A huge congrats to Charlotte, Rhys and Elise who have been selected to join Team Scot West for the 2026 Inter County Championships.

The champs will be held in Sheffields Ponds Forge International Sport Centre on the 4th of October where the team will compete in Division 1 after a successful 2025 championship.

Another busy day of fundraising for warm weather camp. Well done to all our Snr Performance and Age Group swimmers who were hard at work and to Waitrose Newton Mearns for welcoming our team.

All funds raised will be going towards supporting our the REN96 warm weather camp to Lanzarote in October ☀️

Results from Day 3 and 4 of the European Masters Championships!

Welcome to coach Shirley who joins the team heading into the new season as lead coach of our Age Group Renfrewshire Squad.

Shirley brings a wealth of knowledge and a huge amount of elite experience to REN96. In her previous role as Head Coach of Inverclyde Swim Club, she successfully produced athletes capable of competing at the highest levels, including Scottish National and British National qualifiers, multiple podium finishers, and National Champions. Furthermore, Shirley has developed numerous athletes for national squads and has been selected as a coach for the Junior National Team on multiple occasions.

We are very excited to have her on board!

Neil and Fintan are approaching the half way mark of the European Masters Championships, and so far have put in some brilliant performances 👏 They have a busy weekend of racing lined up, so make sure to keep checking our socials to keep up with how they get on!

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: JUNIOR ACADEMY

Five swimmers have been selected for this years Junior Academy for the West District. A brilliant achievement which is reward for the effort and performances put in by all 5 swimmers.

The 26/27 academy will mark the 3rd year of selection for Laurie and Eryn who have been regular attendees since they were only 11 years old. They are joined by Josh who goes in for his second year, and newcomers Klara and Summer who will get their first experience of the national programme.

Well done to you all on your selection! The academy will meet across 3 days between September and December where swimmers will learn valuable skills to assist in their performance development.
