Hayfield Riding Club

We are going to be holding a Show jumping training show on Saturday 18th July.

The format of this will be a coached round then a judged round with classes being split as per the ribbon standard of the rider.

All riders will be expected to arrive at the start to help build and walk the course to help them understand what questions are being asked by the course builder. Warm up etiquette, rules and care of the horse will be emphasised.

There will also be a horse welfare award for those who show kindness and respect when riding, looking after their horse from start to finish including good turnout and clean stable etc.

We will be starting a new group for the NPA level 4 Horse Care course! Beginning on August 25th, on Tuesday evenings, 7-8.30pm for 12 weeks (excluding the October holidays). This course is for those in 4th year at high school and older and is fee wavered for most!

This is a great way to access a qualification in horse care from Qualifications Scotland delivered through the University of the Highlands and Islands!

BHS Stage 1 Care Exam Training

Lorna will be running two sessions on the 14th July and 11th August focusing on the care element of the British Horse Society exams.
Running from 7-8.30pm these sessions are suitable for those who would like to find out more about the exams or for those who are aiming to sit their stage 1 exam.

Suitable for children who have never been around ponies before. These sessions cover horse care activities such as grooming and parts of the horse as well as having a wee shot on a pony. A lovely introduction to horse riding!

We are now running hour and a half walk hacks on Friday evening-a relaxing way to spend your time in the lovely Hazlehead Park! For those that have already been assessed at the appropriate standard.

Pony Club centres using EC Pro – the Pelham integration is now live

Today the EC Pro–Pelham integration has been enabled for all Pony Club centres using EC Pro.

We kindly ask for our Pony Club members to confirm they're a Pony Club member and add their Pony Club membership number in their EC Pro registration details.

This will mean that inputting data from our end will be much easier! Thank you for helping us with this!
