Whether you’ve been here a while or just landed on my page, hey, how are you? 👋

Felt like it was time to bring more Claire energy and proper human connection to my page.

I’ve just shared about 80% of my life 😮‍💨 so now I want to hear more about you.

What’s the most unhinged thing running has made you do? Or when does it make you feel like a total powerhouse?

Share the one you’re weirdly proud of 👇

Garmin status “Recovery” feels like a telling off 🫣

It’s actually the work.

The runners that can stay zen AF are the ones who don’t fall apart when race day gets hard.

The first Aberdeen half marathon happened yesterday and the atmosphere was absolutely insane.

Massive well done to the organisers, volunteers, spectators and runners, you all played a part in making this happen. Aberdeen should be feeling so bloody proud.

What a privilege it was to be helping the AberNecessities dream team at one of the water stations. Watching all the runners come down the line in masses was incredible.

Aberdream you smashed it out the park.

Were you racing, cheering or having FOMO? (I was cheering and FOMO) 👇

Already excited for next years race.

When you feel sick in the first miles of a 6hr race but you don’t panic, you know what to do to keep fuelling and you turn it around into a race where she felt she had more in her when she finished. Perfect race practice for her A race.

Take a bow Sheryl you added this perfect B race at short notice and it was exactly what was needed and gave you way more than planned.

This race didn’t come from a build of forcing training, it came from the opposite. We dialled training back and put the focus on what Sheryl needed to get a strong race.

Sheryl did what most runners find hard, she took a side step and prioritised quality over volume in training. She realised her easy runs actually weren’t that easy and focussed on dialling in on that, which allowed her to show up for the hard runs and get after them.

She also was so dialled in on fuelling, it was practiced every week. Also she’s now learning all about mindset circuit breakers so when it got hard she had something real to draw on.

This was a brilliantly executed race, perfect prep for what’s to come later in the year. She’ll go to the Highland Fling Ultra with the fitness and more trust in her capabilities to handle her fuelling and her mind under pressure.

DM METHOD if you’re done crossing finish lines thinking thank f**k that’s over and ready to cross them thinking holy s**t I can’t believe I just did that.
