Deeside AFC – Club Update 💙🖤

Well... this isn't the post we were hoping to make.
After plenty of trying (and more than a few unanswered messages in the group chat), we've made the decision to fold Deeside AFC. Unfortunately, we just haven't been able to get enough committed players together to keep the club going.

We completely understand that last season didn't help. With games constantly being called off because of referee shortages, long gaps between fixtures and the stop-start nature of the season, it's easy to lose a bit of enthusiasm and routine. We don't blame anyone for that, it was frustrating for everyone involved.
We gave it one last go this season, but unfortunately we couldn't get the numbers or commitment needed to keep things going.

A massive thank you to every player who's pulled on the Deeside shirt over the years. Whether you were here from the start or only for a short spell, we appreciate everyone who turned up, put the effort in and represented the club.

We've made some brilliant memories, had some great laughs and met some cracking people along the way. That's what we'll remember most.

Thanks again to everyone who was part of the journey. All the best for the future. 💙🖤

🔵⚪ Deeside AFC – End of Season ⚪🔵
It's fair to say this season hasn't gone the way we wanted.
For a number of reasons, we've struggled to get any real momentum. Players leaving, games being called off, and a lack of consistency on and off the pitch made it difficult to build throughout the season.

Despite that, we'd like to thank everyone who continued to turn up, put a shirt on, and represent the club. Your commitment hasn't gone unnoticed.

A special mention goes to Kev Ferguson, who helped start Deeside and played a huge part in getting the club off the ground. Kev stepped away halfway through the season to pursue refereeing, and we'd like to thank him for all his hard work and dedication over the last couple of years. We wish him all the best for the future.

While this season is one we'd probably rather forget, the club remains in good spirits and we'll be looking to regroup, rebuild, and come back stronger next season.

Let’s just say last time out in the Scottish Cup didn’t quite go to plan… an 8–0 loss to Gladstone with a slightly reduced squad 🫣. We’ve all agreed never to speak of it again and moved on swiftly 😂

The lads have dusted themselves off, put in the graft at training, and are ready to get back to it this weekend 👊
