🏆 2026 Royal Aberdeen Junior Open

What a fantastic day on the Balgownie Links as we welcomed 40 junior golfers to Royal Aberdeen for our 2026 Junior Open.
With sunshine overhead and the ever-present North Sea breeze providing a true links test, the competitors enjoyed a memorable day on our famous links.
From the practice green to the final putt, the standard of golf, sportsmanship and enthusiasm on display was outstanding. Congratulations to all of our prize winners and to every junior golfer who took part. We hope you enjoyed the challenge of competing on our Balgownie Links.
A special thank you goes to all the parents and families who ferried players to and from the course and whose support makes events like this possible. We were delighted to see so many young golfers at Balgownie and look forward to welcoming even more juniors to Royal Aberdeen next year. ⛳🏆🌊

What a week it was at Balgownie as we welcomed the Scottish Amateur Championship.

Firstly, congratulations to Greg McLellan on a deserved victory and to Aidan Lawson on an excellent run to the final. Their performances, along with those of the wider field, made for a memorable championship and some outstanding golf throughout the week.

We would like to thank Scottish Golf for their continued support and partnership in staging this prestigious event, as well as the players, officials and spectators who contributed to such a positive atmosphere.

A championship of this nature is only possible through the efforts of many people. Our sincere thanks go to our dedicated volunteers, whose time, enthusiasm and commitment were invaluable, and to our fantastic club team, who worked tirelessly before and throughout the week to ensure the event was a success.

Royal Aberdeen has a proud history of hosting championships, and it was a privilege to continue that tradition once again. We are immensely proud of how the club, course and everyone associated with Royal Aberdeen were represented.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in a memorable week. We look forward to welcoming future championships and events to Royal Aberdeen in the years ahead.
