Pressure testing confirmed and revealed a leak around the crotch. New zip on the left. Old on the right.

Drysuit zips tend to be metal toothed such as 'BDM' (I'm aware YKK now own BDM!) or plastic coated 'YKK' or 'TZIP'. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages. Unfortunately this plastic coated one has seen better days. Plastic coating coming away for the material both front and back of the zip letting in water.

Busy week here at Hoppy's Drysuit Services. Helped out BDLMR with a 'leaky' whale they use for training. I'm sure it looks a bit happier. 😆

Busy few weeks in the workshop. Here is one of yesterdays jobs. Latex neck seal needed replacing. I had to remove the remnants of the original as well as the worn one. Better to start with a clean surface. 😄

A new main zip will be fitted as this one has seen better days.
The choice of a new neck seal (Neoprene/latex) will be fitted for the new owner.
Like all my repairs when the work is completed there is a 12 month warranty on the suit.

Been a busy week rounded off with some diving at Millshore with Ellon Sub Aqua Club.
What a great beach for a shore dive. Quite a few SUP boarders and kayakers on the water there too.

What a busy day. Only a small portion of drysuits, cags and wetsuits ready to go back to their owners. Thankfully a new supply of zips and seals just arrived ready for the next batch. 😄🐸
