Lyn refused to accept feeling average when she hit menopause and has been a member now for nearly 2 years - the longest she has ever stuck to exercise!

A reminder that not every workout has to be to change your body or even for health.
It can be the place that makes you feel.
Can your gym do that?
Nobody expects you to know what you're doing.
Nobody expects you to be able to lift the heavy weight.
Nobody expects you to make it through a full class without stopping.
Nobody expects you to be able to touch your toes.
But if you don't start, you won't ever get to the point of being able to do those things.
Only 6 end of summer passes left of the 3 class pack for £30

If I had to pick strong or skinny, then I'd pick strong every day.
And I get what these creators are saying, and that it's almost impossible to have a nuanced discussion with the attention span on social media.
But I just don't accept it has to be one or the other, and everyone is valid in their body goals regardless of if they conform to societal standards or not.
Exercise is rubbish for losing weight, let me explain.
Exercise accounts for only 5-15% of your calories burn for the day, and most fitness trackers way over estimates how much you burn during your workout.
But if you focus on exercise as a way to improve health and increase specific abilities in the body e.g. running faster, being able to do a pull up, then you will be way more likely to stick to exercise regardless of your body size and what you ate that day.
Would love to know why you workout in the comments.
