Over the weekend the ladies nomination triples was played with ten teams entering. On Sunday morning the semis were first up with Jennifer, Anne Brown & Anne Davidson playing against Anne Gauld, Kate & Katrina, who were the winners. In the other semi final it was Helen Merchant, Hazel Marr & Ann Killman against Angela, Lisa & Kirsty who came out on top. It was a lovely day so quite a few spectators were able to enjoy the games and look forward to a great final. After 6 ends the score was tied at 5-5 with Kirsty’s rink scoring a 1 at the 7th however, Katrina’s rink then scored 3, 2, 1, 3 over the next four ends to take a 14 -6 lead playing the 12th end when Kirsty took another 1. With only 3 ends to play it was Katrina’s rink who scored a 2 at the 13th end, taking a 16-7 lead. Angela, Lisa & Kirsty scored a 2 then a 1 at the final end so the victory went to Anne, Kate & Katrina 16-10.
Well done to all who took part over the weekend and the ladies who reached the latter stages. Congratulations to Anne, Kate & Katrina 🥳 and commiserations to the runners up Angela, Lisa & Kirsty.

2026 ADLBA Bon Accord Mixed Triples League - Final Stage 1 Round Results (10th July 2026)

Tonight's Results in the final round of stage 1 of the competition to decide the 8 qualifiers for the knockout phase.

Following a tense evening of bowling, we now have our 8 qualifiers for the knockout stage. All teams who led their sections and required a win to finish in top spot did so, although there were 2 already qualified teams who lost this evening.

The six section winners were Drumoak B (section A), Kemnay (section B), Aberdeen B (section C), Laurencekirk C (section D), Laurencekirk A (section E) and Polmuir A (section F).

Joining the six section winners were two runners-up with the best records. For those sections with 7 teams, records were adjusted to discount results against the teams finishing bottom of the sections. The two best runners-up were Newhills C and Balgownie B.

Details of the quarter-final draw will be published over the coming weekend with matches due to be played on Friday 31st July (6.30pm).

The semis & final of the 2 Bowl Pairs were played this afternoon in very warm conditions. Helen Meldrum & Karen Taylor defeated Margaret Gordon & Moira Wilkie in the first semi final and in the other Anne Brown & Alison Mitchell were the winners against Hazel Marr & Tracey Kelly.

The 11 end final was enjoyed by the spectators & after 8 ends the score was 7-7, so all to play for in the final 3 ends. At the 9th end, Helen & Karen picked up a 2 and followed this up with 1 at each of the last 2 ends, running out 11-7 winners.

Congratulations to all the ladies who reached the final stages today & well done to our winners 🥳
