This is fast becoming my favourite movement of the moment. Two handed mill to front infinity pattern. 12kg in this Large Shorty Circular Sandflail. This is very challenging….no matter how much body building people on YouTube and my DM’s tell me it’s all momentum, doesn’t work anything & I’m wasting my time😂. They couldn’t do it in a million years most likely.…..at least not without blowing out a Tricep or bicep. Anyway Transitioning from the mill to the front infinity swing involves a pivot that is crucial to land right. A lot of explosive pulls and constant deceleration involved in this one. Start super light if attempting it.
Here’s a tip: if you want to add a bit of weight to a sandflail but don’t want too much bulk I just sprinkle a few KG of steel shot into the mix. Just remember that you’ve done it so you’re not surprised by the weight next time.

Shortening a Sandflail handle. I’ve been asked a lot recently about this. So here’s a video of how to do it & some other tips and tricks. The length of the handle dictates the feel of the swing. Longer the handle the slower and smoother, shorter the handle the more explosive and brutal it will be. They are all great and I really encourage experimentation with it. It will change the feel of the tool and open up so many doors.

Yes I do genuinely carry a Sandflail with me most places…well anywhere we bring the car atleast. Now what I fill the SandFlail with differs. Sometimes it’s just usual sand, sometimes it’s rice to half the weight and this specific time it’s filled with crumb rubber. Why rubber? Well it’s about a quarter the weight of sand so it travels easier if filled but even at a really light weight it creates a surprising amount of torque when swinging in the circular patterns. Now with rubber it loses its use as a strength tool outwith the circular patterns but can be used amazingly for speed and power training way more so than a heavier filling. The filling used can really enhance certain movements and styles of training. Also when travelling it won’t weigh you down if you use a light filling but you can still get a surprisingly effective workout with one even super light.

Preorders are coming. Thank you all for the patience. Even a small business like this has a load of moving parts that need to line up perfectly before all can run smoothly. All my costs have doubled at least over the last year so this preorders will be important for the business. I love inventing these products and most of a live the feedback I get from people all over the world that use and enjoy these tools. I basically design and create these things for my own use and it turns out manny others also see the value. Also getting these handmade her in Scotland so I can oversee everything little step is amazing but also very costly. There’s a reason not a lot of people get their products made in their own country but I love being able to get my crazy designs made when I feel like it, I can get a prototype made very quickly to try something out…the trade off is way higher cost. All the Research & Development I put into each product is vast and takes a crazy amount of time and effort, I’m not just slapping my logo on something that someone else already did the hard work on, everything I have so far is all things that I have painstakingly prototyped (usually many times) and tested usually for years before releasing. The products look simple but it took a long time to get to that simple.
