As we prepare ourselves for next season, our coaches are working hard behind the scenes to get us ready to join the league 🏐 We'd like to congratulate our U9's Coach Emma for completing her first step on the Umpiring ladder by completing her 'Introduction to Umpiring' Course 👏 Another fantastic step in the right direction 🥳 Well done Emma 🩷💜

🌟 A Huge Thank You to Postcode Lottery UK ! 🌟

We are delighted to share that our club has been awarded a £1,901 grant from Sported, supported by The Postcode Lottery! 🎉

This fantastic funding will make a real difference to our club and our young players. It will help us with our Welsh Netball affiliations, including affiliating our club, and our U9's & U10's coaches. It will also help fund essential DBS checks, coaching courses, First Aid, Safeguarding, Umpiring and many more.

Investing in our coaches means we can continue to improve the quality of training we provide, create positive experiences for our children, and help them develop their skills, confidence, and love for netball 🏐💪

We are incredibly grateful to Sported and The Postcode Lottery for their support and for helping us continue to grow as a club. This funding will have a lasting impact on our players, coaches, and our wider netball community.

As we celebrate the end of our very first Hirwaun Netball Tots season, we are already making plans and getting ready for September! 🤩

We would like to say a huge thank you to our amazing Tots coach Gab, for helping to start this journey with us. As her maternity leave has now come to an end and she returns to work, she will be greatly missed by us all 😞💖

With this in mind, we are reaching out to our wonderful community to see if there are any parents who would like to take this amazing journey with their child/children and have a go at coaching 🏐✨

You don’t need to be an experienced coach — we are looking for kind, enthusiastic parents who have a passion for helping children have fun, learn new skills and create memories. More volunteers means more support, more ideas and an even better experience for our Tots! 🤩

Our sessions will run throughout term time from September 2026 to May 2027 and are aimed at children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (school years starting September).

A special evening filled with smiles, laughter and memories made — a perfect way to celebrate everything our girls have achieved in our first season together.

What an amazing evening we had at our very first Netball Presentation! 🏐🏆

As we celebrate the end of our first season, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey so far. From our amazing players, supportive parents and families, our coaches, sponsors and everyone who has cheered us on — your support has meant everything.

What started as an idea has grown into something truly special. Over the past year, we haven’t just built a netball club, we’ve built a community. We’ve made fantastic friendships along the way, with both the children and adults, and we feel incredibly lucky to have shared this journey with such wonderful people.

Last night was a celebration of everything we have achieved together, and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening surrounded by amazing friends.

Thank you for making our first season so memorable. We can’t wait to see what the next season brings 🩷💜

I'd like to give a massive shout-out to our fantastic coaches Gabrielle Hazel, Clare Davies, Kristy-Louise Natalie Williams and Emma George without your hard work and dedication the club wouldn't be where it is today 🥰 Also, a huge thank you to Amanda Davies Barry and Heather Tiley of Personalise you for the fantastic decorations and room arrangement, the hall looked absolutely fabulous 😍 Thank you 🩷💜

This week's Star's of the Week are ✨ Olivia ✨ Faith ✨ Ellay ✨

✨ Throughout the season, Olivia has been a little unsure and reserved at times, but tonight she showed incredible confidence and determination — completing the whole session, playing the game, and carrying on after taking a ball to the cheek ✨

✨ Faith worked hard in the drills and took what she learnt into the game at the end ✨

✨ Ellay showed great energy, she's like a busy bee around the court. She defended well and showed great passing and catching skills ✨

Today our U9s welcomed Ystrad Mynach to the court 🏐

Every single girl played amazingly and gave it their all 🤩 Ystrad Mynach proved to be a strong and fast team, but our girls dug deep, stayed determined, and never gave up 💪

As our final game of the season, it was the perfect opportunity to reflect on how far the girls have come since their very first match. Their progress, confidence, and teamwork have been incredible to watch, and we couldn't be prouder of every one of them 🏐🩷💜

We would also like to say a huge thank you to Coach Alisha Knapp from Ystrad Mynach for all of her support over the past few months. I first met Alisha through Chwaraeon RHCT / Sport RCT last October when she helped me set up the club. Since then, she has always been just a phone call or email away, offering guidance and support whenever needed 🙌

Her continued encouragement throughout the season has been greatly appreciated, and our club wouldn't be where it is today without her dedication and help 🙏

Finishing the season by playing Alisha's team was the perfect way to end a fantastic year. Thank you, Alisha, and thank you, Ystrad Mynach 🩷💜
