Good luck to two of our own as they make the long trip across the Atlantic to compete in the Provincial Championships in Quebec, Canada this weekend HockeyQC.ca 🇨🇦🏒

🛡️ #4 Chrissie Louise Jenkins will be between the pipes for the Havoc Reivers.

🏒 #62 Megan Jenkins will be pulling on the jersey for the Riveters Ladies team.

Representing Ball Hockey UK based teams on the international stage, both players are making the journey purely for the love of ball hockey and the opportunity to compete against some of the best talent the sport has to offer.

Everyone at Aberdare Skiprats would like to wish Chrissie and Meg and their teams the very best of luck for the tournament. Enjoy every minute, do yourselves proud, and go get into one! 🐀💪

🚨 FULL TIME 🚨

We bring you some late-breaking fixture news from a match up that, if we’re being totally honest, even we didn’t know was taking place! 😂

During Friday’s Cardiff Devils vs Manchester Storm game, Skiprats #22 Harry Paterson and #58 Edward Harding took to the ice at Vindico Arena for an impromptu box kart showdown against representation from Carmarthen Ravens BHC. Video in the comments 🚗💨

Those boys have engines for legs so the result was never really in doubt…now if only Ed could get an actual driving license 🤔

🏒 EXCLUSIVE KIT SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The South Wales Reivers are offering one exclusive sponsor position on our new playing kit.

Having earned promotion from a 16-team division last season, the Reivers now compete in the Ball Hockey UK Tier 2 Nationals League, representing Wales against teams from across the UK at league fixtures and national tournaments.

Your logo will feature on the lower back of every jersey and benefit from exposure across the Aberdare Skiprats Ball Hockey Club and Cardiff Bay Thunder Ball Hockey Club social media channels throughout the season.

This is a unique opportunity to support the growth of ball hockey in Wales while putting your brand in front of audiences across the UK.

📩 Interested in partnering with the Reivers? Contact Darryl Payne at Cardiff Bay Thunder [email protected] to discuss this exclusive opportunity.

South Wales Reivers Tier 2 League Game Day One is in the books, and we have our first points on the table in our maiden Tier 2 season!

There was plenty of action and goals across two hard-fought fixtures against Sheffield Knights BHC. While we came up short in the opening game, the Reivers rallied to take the second contest and earn our first Tier 2 victory.

Reiver of the Day went to Max Allars, who epitomised the grit and effort of the team throughout the afternoon (that penalty kill shift was something else!).

Special mention also goes to Ed and Tyler, who made their National League debuts and both got themselves on the scoresheet. 💪👏🏻

A huge thank you, as always, to the Ball Hockey UK staff, referees and timekeepers for their work throughout the day. Also a fist bump to Sheffield Knights for a competitive and enjoyable afternoon of hockey.

G A M E R E S U L T
Aberdare Skiprats 1–12 Cardiff Bay Thunder Ball Hockey Club.

We battled hard and showed plenty of heart from first ball drop to the final whistle. However, with a comparatively short bench against a very strong Thunder line-up, we came up short on the scoreboard. Credit where it’s due for their game and depth last night 🫡

We’ll learn from it, regroup, and get back to work for sure 💪

There was one more (unique) award from our Awards Night that we can now reveal.
That went to Lilley's Cider for their Mango Cider! 🥭🍺

We are not affiliated with the brand in any way, this was just the outcome of a highly scientific 👀 taste testing from the Skiprats Cider Club dept who religiously keep score week after week…AFTER week! 🤣 We are impressed they keep finding new tipples to add to the list every Thursday.

Club followers will be pleased to note that the tasting has resumed already following awards 2026. In the name of Science, competition and ‘Beer League Hockey’ 🐀
