Flicks 'n' Kicks Dancers

THURSDAY CLASSES
16/7/2026 – Lovely class in the morning, very warm, but we had airflow with windows and doors open and two fans kindly supplied by Michelle. Started earlier at 9.30am first half hour for new dancers, going through easier dances, then an hour of mixed beginner dances with some split floors. Then final session for Improver/intermediate levels.
Decided to run the evening class and had a very good turnout despite the heat, I hope it’s cooler next week. We had all the doors and windows open and there was a slight breeze, ended the evening with a teach of a lovely waltz. I do love a waltz!

WEDNESDAY CLASSES
15/7/2026 – Lovely class in the morning, we took our time lots of slower paced dances, and with all the windows and doors open there was a lovely breeze. A few missing but we had a good session.
Back to the evening class this week, it was a bit cooler but could have done with a bit more of a breeze. Lots of chatting as we had a lot of catching up to do, and two new dances to make up for it.

13/7/2026 – Two great classes today, not so hot today, all the windows and doors open made for a lovely breeze. Still too warm in the afternoon class so not so many dances done. You did well with the new dances, a bit more practise and you will get them.

The weather is looking like it may be a bit cooler next week, so I will definately run the morning classes, I will see what happens and I'll make a decision on the evening and afternoon classes on a daily basis.

FRIDAY CLASS
10/7/2025 – A great class in St Luke’s Church Hall this morning. Small class today, it was very hot.
Concentrated on 2 harder dances today, and a few easy ones in between.
Well done to you all see you next week, hopefully it will be cooler!
