Dare Valley Flyers

As it is our last training session this coming Friday, we have a “cool” surprise planned for all our players. So you don’t want to miss out - from 6pm-8:30pm. We can assure you, it’ll be a real “treat” from your DVF family 👀🍦🚐

We also want to extend the invite to our Thursday players if you can make it to the sports hall in Cwmdare, again between 6pm - 8:30pm 😊❤️

Firstly, we wanted to say a big thank you to all the girls and parents that’s attended our sessions this week. They were a scorcher and we were pleasantly surprised with how many attended. And for those that couldn’t, again we completely understand - it really was a warm one!

Just as a reminder, next weeks sessions are our final of the season before we restart in September. We have posted up the new schedule for the new season for age groups 8-14 and will announce the schedule for the U16’s and adults very soon!

Another great week of training. Some of the girls still on a high after our amazing celebration evening. Just a reminder, we only have 2 weeks of training left now before we break for the summer holidays 🌞 There are reports of another heatwave coming so we’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather over the next week

CELEBRATION EVENING 2026

Where do we begin. First and foremost, thank you to everyone who attended, celebrated and supported the girls. It was amazing to see so many of you there. A big congratulations to all our award winners and a thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets and took part in the cake auction. It was an honour and a privilege for us to be able to celebrate the successes your fabulous girls have achieved throughout the last season 🩷

A few special thanks also have to go out -
To the parents helping us clean up the club throughout the evening - it was massively appreciated by us and the staff at the club. To Hattie’s grandmother who baked us the stunning cake to auction off. To all the parents that supplied our amazing raffle prizes. To SR2K for the photobooth, always a big hit with the girls. To Gareth the DJ who once again putting on a great evening of entertainment. To Jeanette and her team who supplied our incredible buffet. To all the staff at the Nixon’s for having us once again. To Hannah for our lovely balloon ring. To all our wonderful committee members and coaches who helped set up the room before the party. To Leanne for getting us the amazing awards and trophies.

Morning all. We’re super excited and just about ready for our presentation evening tonight.

Just a few little updates and bits of info for the evening 😊

Firstly, the address for those who aren’t sure where it is -

**PLEASE NOTE - There is extremely limited parking outside the venue itself. We kindly ask all guests to park in the car park nearby**

- The evening starts at 6:30pm
- Awards will be at approximately 7:30pm
- The buffet will open shortly after the presentation with the raffle following on shortly after that
- The evening will go on until approx 11pm
- We will have committee members on the door to sign people in. Please note that if any additional guests arrive that don’t have tickets, they will be turned away so please get in touch ASAP to purchase tickets before this evening. no entry tickets will be sold at the door. All ticket sales have been recorded and will be verified on entry.

What a scorcher. After a few days of extreme heat, it was great to see a good number of our players make it along to training this evening. And they didn’t let the heat slow them down and continued to give 100% effort. Well done girls.

And we’re really excited for our Presentation Evening tomorrow night at the Nixons in Mountain Ash. We’re welcoming everyone from 6:30pm. There’s extremely limited parking outside the club itself so can we please ask all guests to park in the main car park opposite the train station, which is within walking distance of the club.
