🐍 VOLUNTEERS WANTED! 🐍

As we head into the new season, we’re looking for more volunteers to join the Aberdare RFC family and help us behind the scenes throughout the week and on match days.

With our 1st XV, Athletic XV and Youth Team all having home fixtures on the same weekends throughout the season, there is going to be a lot going on at Ynys — and we need your help to make sure everything runs smoothly.

There are loads of different ways you can get involved, including:

🏉 Preparing and setting out kit for our Senior & Youth teams

🩹 Preparing medical bags for all teams

💧 Filling water bottles and water jacks

🏟️ Setting up pitches and match-day equipment

🚧 Roping off the main pitch and putting up fencing

🎟️ Helping on the gate

👋 Welcoming opposition players, coaches and supporters

📋 Helping with general match-day preparation

🧹 Clearing equipment away safely and putting everything back where it belongs

🧽 Cleaning and looking after the pitches after games

You don’t need to be a rugby expert, just a willingness to help, get involved and be part of the club.

Whether you can help every week, once a month or just when you’re available, we’d love to hear from you.

Every volunteer makes a difference, and your help allows our players and coaches to concentrate on what happens on the pitch. 💙💛

💛ABERDARE RFC HAVE BEEN AWARDED WRU PLATINUM ACCREDITATION💙

We are incredibly proud to announce that Aberdare RFC has officially been awarded WRU Platinum Accredited Clubstatus as part of the Welsh Rugby Union’s new Club Investment Model for the 2026/27 season.

This is the highest level of accreditation awarded to community rugby clubs in Wales and is recognition of the hard work, commitment and dedication shown across every area of our club.

Platinum Accreditation reflects far more than what happens on the pitch. It recognises the standards we continue to uphold in governance, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, volunteer development, community engagement, facilities and creating a safe, welcoming and sustainable environment for everyone involved with Aberdare RFC.

This achievement belongs to every single person who plays a part in our club. To our volunteers, committee members, coaches, players, parents, supporters, sponsors and the wider Aberdare community, thank you. Your time, commitment and passion have helped make this possible.

We would also like to thank the Welsh Rugby Union for their support, guidance and assistance throughout the accreditation process.

Whilst we’re incredibly proud to have achieved Platinum status, this is not the finish line. We will continue striving to improve every aspect of our club, ensuring Aberdare RFC remains a place where players of all ages can enjoy rugby, develop and be part of something special for many years to come.
