What a brilliant event we had for Mark at the annual ride out this weekend! Thank you so much to everyone who came, for all the support and effort made...there were those who attend every year and so many new faces too...Mark would have been made up! 🩵

A big thank you to Ken Huntley, Islwyn and Aled for helping Dad put together such a great route! Also huge thanks goes to The Somerset Arms at Port Talbot (Hayley who runs it) who displayed Mark's bike at the pub, put up photos of Mark with the pubs bike memorabilia, created show reels of Mark for the TV's all to see! It was such a great event and all these personal touches made it even more special for us all!🙏 Also lovely meet Mark's brother (from the pub) and all the family and friends who had lovely memories racing with Mark as fellow bikers!

Thank you also to Joe Fox for sending a specially made candle for Mark from the Gone but not forgotten annual bikes Memorial so that we could host it at the pub on Sunday! Everyone loved it!

1 week to go until the annual ride out for Mark! Looking forward to it the weather's looking decent so fingers crossed it stays that way!!

Reminders:

- Ride out takes place a week today Sunday 5th July
- Riders meet: Aberaeron Rugby club car park at 10am
- Scenic route via Lampeter...riders joining there to be at co-op car part at 10.30am should be there around 10.45 to join behind everyone
- A quick stop at Sennybridge and then head down to Port Talbot to The Somerset Arms at Port Talbot for lunch! (Discounted prices for ride out attendees)
- We will have some exciting displays there to celebrate Mark!
- 100 miles from Aberaeron to the pub one way (people are welcome to join on route or meet at Port Talbot to ride back depending on where people are travelling).
- Plenty of parking for those travelling by bike/car/train to the pub
- Learner riders are welcome we have made sure the route is safe for all!

How can it already be 4 years today since we lost Mark? Time has gone by so fast yet it feels like yesterday our worst day happened! We love and miss you so much Mark your smile lit up the room, your kind heart was clear for everyone to see and your joking nature will never be forgotten! We will keep living on for you and making the most of life...you will always be part of our family. You were an amazing son, brother and friend to so many! Ride the skies Mark and keep watching over us all...until we meet again! 🏍️🩵

Hi all, the time has come to arrange the annual memorial ride for Mark! For those who do not know he lost his life doing what he loved at the IOM TT races in 2022.

This year we are doing something different and riding down to Port Talbot to the Somerset Arms ( SA13 1HP).

Ride out date: Sunday 5th July

We will be starting from Aberaeron Rugby Club car park (getting there for 10am) and taking a scenic route via Lampeter to Port Talbot. The ride is around 100 miles and keeping within the speed limits

The Somerset arms do excellent meals and there will be a discounted price for those who attend. Ken Huntley our organiser (thanks Ken) went down to the venue to see what it was like and was very pleased with the venue. Mark the owner of the Somerset Arms (yes the name is fitting) has his race bikes in the bar along with racing and military memorabilia. There is plenty of parking space and he is expecting a big turn out as we have had for the previous rides.

Learner drivers are welcome we have made sure the route is safe for all!
