Have you ever looked in the mirror and not recognised yourself?
Or wondered where the confident, energetic, motivated woman you used to be went?
I think many women spend years convincing themselves they’re happy enough.
That this is just what happens with age.
Caught up in the same stop-start cycle.
Promising themselves they’ll start again on Monday.
Putting themselves to the bottom of the list.
And telling themselves they’ll get around to looking after themselves one day.
Until one day they realise they don’t feel like themselves anymore.
Not because they’ve changed as a person.
But because they’ve stopped prioritising themselves.
Their health.
Their wellbeing.
Their needs.
And over time that gap gets wider.
The good news?
It’s never too late to close it.
If you’ve been feeling like this and want support becoming the woman you know you’re capable of being, send me a message with the word ‘ME’ and let’s chat.

You think you want to lose weight for your holiday...
But after years of working with many women, I've learned that weight loss is rarely the thing they're actually looking for.
What they're often really saying is:
☀️I want to feel confident.
☀️More comfortable in my body.
☀️More in control around food.
☀️And more like myself again.
Because the goal isn't really to just lose weight for a holiday.
The goal is to stop spending your life feeling uncomfortable in your body.
To break free from the exhausting cycle of constantly trying to lose weight, starting again every Monday and waiting until you've lost weight to feel good about yourself.
To feel happier in your body all year round.
Now don't get me wrong...
I'm not saying you'll love your body every single day.
You won't.
We're human.
We all have days where we feel bloated, uncomfortable, frustrated or lacking confidence.
The difference is that those days no longer send you spiralling.
They don't become a bad week.
They don't turn into "I'll start again Monday."
They don't undo all the progress you've made.
Because confidence isn't loving your body every day.
It's knowing how to get back to feeling like yourself when those days happen.
And in my experience, that's the real freedom women are looking for.

Firstly, I want to say that I loved my years as a competitive bodybuilder.
I loved the process.
The challenge.
The discipline.
The training.
The people it brought into my life.
And the success I achieved.
But on the flip side there were also negatives...
Even though I was at a very low body weight and had low levels of body fat, I was arguably at my unhealthiest.
My energy was low.
My relationship with food wasn’t always healthy.
And even at my leanest, and despite the compliments I received, I would still pick myself apart, feel bloated and at times feel unhappy in my body.
Which is why it’s important to emphasise that if your definition of success is based solely on the number on the scales, it won’t necessarily change your confidence or how you feel about yourself.
What does build confidence is showing up for yourself.
Not just for an end goal or to step on stage.
But because you care about your health and want to improve the quality of your life.
To exercise because you recognise how good it makes you feel.
To prioritise yourself because you know you’re worth the effort.
To eat well because you want to feel energised, healthy and strong.
To keep the promises you make to yourself.
Because confidence isn’t built by reaching a certain weight.
It’s built through the actions you take and the trust you build in yourself along the way.
Learning to appreciate what your body can do, not just what it looks like.
And focusing on building a body that’s strong, capable and resilient.
Because my goal these days isn’t to be as small as possible.
It’s to age strong, healthy and able to keep doing the things I love for as long as possible.

I remember wanting to lose weight from as far back as 13 years old.
And for many years I genuinely believed that if I could just get leaner, lighter or thinner, I’d feel happier and more confident.
Even when I stepped on stage as a bodybuilder, I still wasn’t happy in my body.
But age, experience and years of working with women have taught me a lot.
Weight loss matters.
Looking good in your clothes matters.
Feeling confident in your body matters.
But what I’ve learned from my own journey and the journeys of the women I’ve coached over the years is that the women who are happiest and most successful in the long term are focused on far more than just their weight.
They’re the women who take control.
Who take ownership.
Who shift their focus from becoming the smallest version of themselves.
To becoming the strongest, healthiest, most confident and happiest version of themselves.
Who prioritise themselves.
Who build trust in themselves.
Who show up consistently.
Who keep going when life isn’t perfect.
And who take care of themselves from a place of self respect, not self criticism.
At 56, I care less about the number on the scales (I actually haven’t weighed myself in years) and more about how I look and feel in my body.
Strong. Fit. Healthy. Confident. Happy.
And another thing I’ve learned, is that women are far more capable than they allow themselves to believe.
If you’re tired of letting old beliefs hold you back, perhaps it’s time to challenge them.

Who you surround yourself with matters.
And surrounding myself with people who inspire me, challenge me and support me to be better is a constant reminder of what’s possible.
It’s also something I strongly believe in and encourage within my own coaching community. Because we’re capable of so much more when we’re surrounded by people who support us, believe in us and help us to raise our standards.
I started calisthenics on my 55th birthday.
It's been both inspiring and humbling in equal measures.
Feeling uncertain, being a beginner again, struggling, failing and trying again isn’t always comfortable.
But it’s proof that you’re NEVER too old to start something new.
And this is exactly what I help other women achieve.
Not just losing weight.
But challenging the beliefs that have been holding them back for years.
The limitations they place on themselves.
The stories that tell them they're too old, not fit enough or that "it could never be me."
And helping them prove to themselves that they are far more capable than they ever believed possible.
If you've been putting something off because you think you're too old, not fit enough or that it could never be you...
Please don't let those beliefs make the decision for you.
You might be capable of far more than you realise.
Feel free to reach out for support or to simply ask a question.
I’d love to hear from you.

It’s not about eating the lowest calorie version of everything if you’re trying to lose weight.
Especially if you dislike the taste or there are foods you’re simply not willing to compromise on.
And that’s absolutely fine.
Because just like money, YOU get to choose where you pull back on your ‘spending’...
..and where you’re happy to make your ‘saving.’
There is no right or wrong.
It’s about what works for you.
Your preferences.
Your lifestyle.
Your goals.
That’s what makes eating to support your health and goals both sustainable and enjoyable.
What’s one food you’re not willing to compromise on?
