Life after divorce is beautiful and hard. I’m still going through my journey and finally felt ready to share reflections that have been coming up.
And truly, these don’t just apply to divorce. This is life and loss, and alignment and how to live in a way that doesn’t drain your life force.
Thanks for being on the journey with me.

One year ago I was preparing to start grad school, move out of my marital home, go into mediation with my now ex-spouse, and was in a really painful heart place.
Today, I’m about to start my 2nd year in grad school having finished my first with a 4.0GPA, am preparing for my next home, divorced, and much more clear about who I am, who I want to be and what the next chapter is focused on. This is not easy. I am not “fully healed” mostly because I don’t believe that is a final destination. I believe more that my current evolution is more at peace than she’s ever been, has had some pretty big revelations about family and life purpose, has intentionally sloooowwweddd down (despite the relentless travel).
I feel aligned. What does that mean? My decisions come from a place of clear knowing, in my body and of my values.
My compass is my body and my truth. This doesn’t work for everyone immediately because not everyone’s body is in a state where they can even know / trust what it’s feeling!
I’ve spent the last 6 full years deep diving into my body’s truth, practicing congruence and alignment - and holy f**k was it brutal and painful and led me exactly here… and it has been messy, beautiful, the hardest work I’ve ever done, making the most difficult choices I’ve ever made… and truly, I would not change it for all the money in the world.
You are right on time for your life. Nothing that’s meant for you will pass by; it can’t. Do the work to know yourself, your truth, and show up the best you can for yourself every day — this allows you to show up for others better, too.
I’m so proud of Heather in August 2025. She was really goin through it and still found a way to get here.
Recently, on my trip to Mexico I wrote a letter, ripped it up and sent it into the sea. And as I did, I cried, and said “release; release, release…” and that my friends is my wish for you. Release whatever you can in yourself to be here, in this one precious life.

Lauren Etter | Yoga & Nature Immersion you inspire me infinitely to be brave and share a cracked voice and squinty eyes.
To be seen in full authenticity.
This week of as powerful and meaningful and full of transitions of various kinds. The song and voice you hear are part of that and after attending the Magical song circle Resonance Chiropractic | Encinitas SD I’m so glad to be brave enough to share a small piece of this week with you.
May you find your voice, seek out the light and remain open to receive.
Take a few breaths with me?

Coachella 2026. What a vibe.
You got into my soul.
I danced until my heart was full.
See you in 2027.
Things can feel challenging… and still be good.
I’ve been noticing how quickly my mind wants to label everything—hard or easy, good or bad, settled or chaotic. It tries to make sense of things by putting them into clean categories.
But when I slow down and actually check in with myself, it’s rarely that simple. I can feel stretched and grounded. Tender and joyful. Uncertain and at peace.
I’m learning I don’t need to resolve that tension to feel okay. I don’t need to wait for things to get easier before I let myself experience joy or ease.
The practice right now is staying with myself in the middle of it. Letting it be layered. Letting it be imperfect.
And in that… something shifts.
I stay.
I soften.
I let it be what it is.
I don’t need everything to be resolved to feel like myself.
I just need to stay.
And that’s where the best version of me comes through—
not perfect,
just present.
And that’s enough.
I wonder…. Where is duality showing up for you and, what happens when you choose to stay with yourself?
Most people think a better life comes from doing more.
But it usually comes from being more honest with yourself.
From choosing what feels true, again and again.
That’s what creates aligned opportunities, more space, more joy, more ease.
It’s not easy—but it’s always worth it.
