Le 16 mai 2026, Bastien Mersier , Mathieu Bellini et Matou étaient au Bratislava Fecht 8, l’un des plus grands tournois d’AMHE slovaques, réunissant près de 120 combattantes et combattants. Bastien combattait dans la catégorie Epée longue Avancée, Mathieu et Matou combattaient dans la catégorie Masters, regroupant exclusivement des combattants de haut niveau.

On May 16, 2026, Bastien Mersier, Mathieu Bellini, and Matou competed at Bratislava Fecht 8, one of Slovakia’s largest HEMA tournaments, which brought together nearly 120 fencers. Bastien competed in the Advanced Long Sword category, while Mathieu and Matou competed in the Masters category, which was exclusively for high-level fencers.

Heavy metal: French town hosts medieval combat cage fights A French town on Saturday hosted a special event inside a hexagonal cage normally used for mixed martial arts: duels between fully armoured warriors wielding medieval weapons.

Le 25 et 26 avril 2026, à Bourg-la-Reine, la SAEA Paris organisait le Paris Hema Open , un tournoi réunissant des dizaines de combattants internationaux et concourant au plus haut niveau des AMHE. De nombreux membres de la SAEA ont participé au tournoi, une première expérience pour certains.

Le tournoi réunissait plusieurs clubs français mais aussi des combattantes et combattants de Pologne, Grèce, République Tchèque, Italie, Géorgie, Slovaquie, Canada, Etats-Unis, Allemagne, Finlande, Hongrie, Danemark…

Nous remercions aussi le club Batesta Bordeaux pour avoir aidé à l’arbitrage.

On April 25 and 26, 2026, in Bourg-la-Reine, the SAEA Paris organized the Paris HEMA Open 2026, a tournament bringing together dozens of international fighters competing at the highest level of HEMA. Many SAEA members participated in the tournament, a first-time experience for some.

The tournament brought together several French clubs as well as fighters from Poland, Greece, the Czech Republic, Italy, Georgia, Slovakia, Canada, the United States, Germany, Finland, Hungary, Denmark…

We would also like to thank Batesta Bordeaux club for assisting with refereeing.
