Looking at Enzo Maresca's decisions today, I felt he got the big calls right. He made just one change from the Bournemouth win, bringing Rayan Cherki into the starting XI for Rico Lewis. After Cherki's two assists last week, giving him a start proved to be a smart decision as he responded with two goals in City's 4–1 victory.

I was also impressed by Maresca's decision to continue with Marc Guéhi in midfield. Instead of rushing new signing Ayyoub Bouaddi into a difficult away game, he trusted a player who already understood the system. Guéhi provided the balance that allowed City's creative players to attack with freedom.

What I liked most was Maresca's ability to keep the team's structure while giving his attacking players room to express themselves. Cherki and Erling Haaland both scored twice, showing just how effective the manager's selection was.

For me, this was another sign that Maresca is starting to get the best from his squad. His decisions were measured and purposeful, and the 4–1 victory showed the rewards. I am beginning to see a clear identity developing under him, and today's performance was a strong statement.
