It is with deep sadness that the FIM Endurance World Championship (FIM EWC) has learned of the passing of Philipp Steinmayr and Adrian Rus, following an accident during a round of the Alpe Adria International Championship at Automotodrom Brno.

Philipp took part in the 2026 24 Heures Motos with the National Motos Honda FMA team.

Our thoughts are with the families, loved ones and teams of both riders, and with everyone who knew them.

C’est avec une immense tristesse que nous avons appris les décès de Philipp Steinmayr et d’Adrian Rus, après le tragique accident survenu lors du Championnat International Alpe Adria à l’Automotodrom de Brno.

Toute l’équipe National Motos Honda FMA est profondément bouleversée par cette terrible nouvelle.

Nous adressons nos plus sincères condoléances aux familles de Philipp et d’Adrian, à leurs proches, à leurs amis, ainsi qu’à l’ensemble de leurs équipes et à tous ceux qui ont eu le privilège de les connaître et de partager leur passion.
Philipp a participé au 24h du Mans 2026 avec notre équipe et nous saluons sa gentillesse, son sourire et sa passion pour notre sport.

🏴 It’s with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Marc Van Der Straten, yesterday on 5 July.

A true motorsport enthusiast, Marc dedicated his life to racing. This year, he placed his trust in endurance by becoming the title partner of the FIM Endurance World Championship.

Marc, your passion will live on.
Your feline will continue to watch over the story you helped write. 🐆
