What a day, what a battle, and what a way to finish it !

Once again CHAMPIONS, taking home the Genesis Volleyball Club Block 2 Showdown trophy and the $1,500 championship prize! 💰🏆🔥

Our journey to the title was never easy:

🔥 Quarterfinals: We faced a strong Nepani side and secured the win in two straight sets.

🔥 Semifinals: We went up against our brothers from Suvavou Redline Volleyball Club in one of the toughest matches of the day. It went all the way to three hard-fought sets, and the boys showed tremendous heart, composure and determination to edge them out and book our place in the final.

🔥 FINALS: We came up against China Town, and with the championship on the line, the team stepped up once again — finishing the job in two straight sets to be crowned CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Above everything, we give all glory and thanks to God for His protection, strength and guidance throughout the tournament. 🙏

A massive thank you to our supporters, families and everyone who continues to stand behind us. We celebrate this win, but the journey continues ❗️

After a while away from tournament volleyball, it feels great to be back on the court and to come away as champions of the NYVA Block 2 Tournament.

A huge thank you to the Nakasi Youth Volleyball Association (NYVA) for organizing a well-run tournament and creating another opportunity for teams to compete, reconnect, and continue growing the sport.

Last week, we hosted our first-ever Barrel Night Fundraiser, and we are proud and grateful to say it was a huge success.

First and foremost, we would like to sincerely acknowledge Downunder Pub— not only for supporting this event, but for coming on board as a strategic partner for Avengers Volleyball Club this season. Your partnership means a lot to us, and we are grateful for the visibility, support, and platform you continue to provide for our club. We look forward to building this partnership throughout the season and representing it well both on and off the court. 🙏🏽🍻

To everyone who came out in numbers on the night — vinaka vakalevu! Your presence, energy, laughter and support made the night special. To our supporters from abroad, families, friends, fans, and everyone who purchased tickets or contributed in any way, thank you for standing behind the team and believing in what we are building. ❤️🖤

For us, this was more than just a fundraiser. It was a reminder of the strong community behind Avengers Volleyball Club. Funds raised will go towards supporting our players, preparations, development, equipment, travel and the upcoming season.

As this was our first time hosting a fundraising event like this, we are truly encouraged by the response and excited for what is ahead. We look forward to building from here, growing stronger as a club, and continuing to create spaces where our community can come together in support of our athletes.

As a club committed to developing players to represent Fiji at the highest level, this announcement is deeply disheartening. For years, our athletes have trained with the goal of earning national selection and competing at events such as the Pacific Games. With the pathway now closed, that dream has been taken away from many deserving players who have sacrificed countless hours in pursuit of representing their country.

While the immediate goal may now seem out of reach and the sacrifices made may feel overlooked, we remain committed to the development of our athletes. This setback cannot define the future of Fiji volleyball. Instead, it must serve as a reminder of the importance of planning, accountability, and ensuring that opportunities for our players are protected and preserved.

We stand with all athletes affected by this outcome and acknowledge the disappointment felt throughout the volleyball community. At the same time, We wish to extend our best wishes to the new administration. We remain hopeful that through collaboration, transparency, and forward-thinking leadership, a stronger pathway can be established for future generations of athletes aspiring to proudly represent our nation. While this chapter is painful, we trust that the lessons learned will help build a brighter future for Fiji volleyball and ensure that no generation of players misses out on such opportunities again.

Today we came together as one team to officially close out the 2025 season and celebrate the journey we’ve shared — the wins, the lessons, the laughs, and the battles fought together on and off the court 🙌🏽🏐

We thank God for His protection, strength, and guidance throughout the year 🙏🏽✨
From training sessions to tournaments, this season has been about more than volleyball — it’s been about brotherhood, discipline, and growth 💙
