RYVA Update

Fiji Volleyball Federation Special General Meeting

On Saturday, 29 August 2026, Raiwaqa Youth Volleyball Association President attended the Fiji Volleyball Federation Special General Meeting (SGM) as observers, following an invitation from the Federation. The meeting focused on the discussion and voting of the proposed Phase 1 amendments to the FVF Constitution adopted on 19 July 2017.

The discussions centred on key governance matters, including affiliation requirements for associations, provisions relating to dormant and rejoining associations, and the separation of the Federation's operational By-Laws from the Constitution.

RYVA remains committed to staying informed and engaged in developments that contribute to the growth, governance, and future of volleyball in Fiji. We thank the Fiji Volleyball Federation for the opportunity to attend and observe these important discussions.

📣 CALLING ALL VOLLEYBALL CLUB TEAMS! 🏐

The Raiwaqa Youth Volleyball Association (RYVA) is now accepting registrations for the 2026-2027 Volleyball Season!

⚠️ Please note: This registration is ONLY for established Club Teams who wish to compete in the upcoming season. Individual player registrations are not being accepted through this competition registration process.

🔥 Competition Details ✅ 8-Week Competition

✅ U18, Women's & Men's Divisions
✅ Games played weekly:
• Thursdays - U18 Division
• Fridays - Women's Division
• Saturdays - Men's Division

📝 How to Register Registration forms can be obtained via Messenger or Viber.

💰 Registration Fees

• Men's Team - $100
• Women's Team - $70
• U18 Team - $50

📌 Teams will be allowed to pay their registration fees by the 3rd week of competition.

📅 Registration Deadline: 5th September

🏐 This is a great opportunity for clubs to compete, develop players, build team culture, and be part of a growing volleyball community in Raiwaqa.

We're excited to launch our WORK-A-PLAYER FUNDRAISER, where you can sponsor one of our players to complete volleyball and fitness challenges!

💰 How does it work?

You choose how many challenges you'd like to sponsor:

Our players will complete a combination of volleyball and fitness challenges, which may include:

Our Rt. Senibici Tournament campaign has come to an end. While we fell short of our goal, we're proud of the effort shown throughout the two-day event.

We are proud to officially unveil the refreshed logo of the Raiwaqa Youth Volleyball Association (RYVA).

This logo is a modern revival of our previous design, updated to reflect the new generation, our renewed vision, and the future direction of the association. While we worked on this final piece, we used a temporary logo to represent RYVA during the transition.

In the meantime, you will begin to see our new logo featured across our social media platforms, competition posters, official communications, merchandise, and future RYVA initiatives as we continue this exciting new chapter.

The logo was thoughtfully redesigned by Ms. Kini Tamanitoakula, who took inspiration from the original logo and gave it a fresh, modern lift while preserving the history and identity that our association was built upon.
Though the design has evolved, our purpose remains unchanged—to develop youth, strengthen our community, and grow the sport of volleyball.

𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 | 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Fiji Volleyball Federation wishes to provide the following update to its affiliated associations, players, coaches, officials, supporters and stakeholders.

𝟭. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗺

FVF confirms that Fiji will not participate in the 2026 Oceania Zonal Volleyball Championships in Guam.

Entries for the 2026 Oceania Zonal Volleyball Championships closed on March 31, 2026. This was before the FVF 2026 Annual General Meeting and before the current Board took office on April 30, 2026.

Following clarification sought by FVF, OZVA has advised that entries cannot be reopened at this stage. FVF acknowledges OZVA’s position and will now focus on strengthening Fiji’s regional engagement and future competition planning.

𝟮. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗶

Fiji will not be able to participate in indoor volleyball at the 2027 Pacific Games in Tahiti.

FVF has received formal confirmation from OZVA that the 2026 Oceania Championships in Guam is the only qualification pathway for indoor volleyball.

As Fiji will not be participating in the Oceania Championships, Fiji will not be able to qualify for the 2027 Pacific Games. OZVA has also confirmed that there are currently no alternative qualification events or additional pathways available for indoor volleyball.

𝟯. 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹

FVF confirms that Fiji’s pathway for beach volleyball remains open.

OZVA has advised that Fiji will have the opportunity to enter one men’s team and one women’s team when the beach volleyball entry process opens. FVF is working with FASANOC to confirm the required process for these entries.

FVF acknowledges the disappointment this outcome will cause and asks the volleyball community for unity and support as we work to reset, rebuild and strengthen Fiji Volleyball.
