ONOC President Baklai Temengil delivered ONOC's report to the Pacific Games Council General Assembly in Papeete on Friday 7 August, setting out a case for planning the region's next six years as one athlete pathway rather than a series of separate events.
Dakar 2026. Tahiti 2027. Los Angeles 2028. Cook Islands 2029. Tonga 2031. Brisbane 2032.
"These Games are not separate events. They represent one direction with many opportunities."
She also put a question to the region: should Oceania explore its own Youth Olympic Games? The proposal is for a review led by the ONOC Games Commission, not a decision.
