Massive Congratulations to Captain Gideon Leweniqila for graduating with a Masters of Business Administration !
From the flight deck of the Airbus to the classroom, Gideon has shown what true discipline and leadership look like. Balancing the demands of aviation with academic excellence is no small feat, and this milestone is a testament to his hard work, perseverance, and vision for the future.
As your Touch Rugby family, we are so proud of you, Captain. The same commitment and drive you bring to the skies and to your studies is the same spirit that inspires us on the field.
Vinaka Gideon for being such an inspiration to your Touch Rugby family, your dedication reminds us that success comes from hard work both in the skies and in life.

The NTRA season roared to life yesterday as every grade took to the field with fire in their veins. The Taki Lewas wasted no time in stamping their authority, dismantling FNU in a ruthless 11‑0 display that set the tone for the day. The Taki Kajis followed with grit and determination, grinding out a hard‑fought victory over Team David,l. The return of the Masters category brought nostalgia and excitement, with few club Legends stepping back into the arena after years away. Despite their effort, the Mix Masters came up short against 2FreshWest
But it was the Men’s Open feature match that carried the weight of expectation. The Taki Mens fought tooth and nail, throwing themselves into every contest, but handling errors and rookie mistakes proved costly against a seasoned 2Fresh outfit. In a bruising 6‑4 encounter, our men came up second best, a tough way to open the campaign. Yet the story of a season is never written in Round 1, trophies are forged in the grind, not the opening whistle
So we regroup, we sharpen, and we rise again in Round 2. For now, we celebrate the brilliance of our Lewas & Kajis !

Taki Mai VS 2 Fresh One Love Touch Tournament
09/06/2025
After 3 incredible years of dominance and proudly holding the Holy Grail of Nadi Touch – the Tuwawa Shield – the Taki Men’s team entered the 2025 season with fresh faces and high hopes. With around 7 debutants joining the ranks, the campaign began with a sense of transition and adjustment, and understandably, a slow start.
Yet, true to the Taki Men’s spirit, the boys rallied. They battled their way through the season, showing grit, unity, and flashes of brilliance when it mattered most. Their resilience saw them push through the playoffs and into the Grand Final – a remarkable feat in itself, considering the rebuilding phase.
The Grand Final mirrored the team’s season in many ways: a hesitant start saw them fall behind 2–4 in the first half. But in typical Taki Mai fashion, the second half was a showcase of heart and hunger. A rapid-fire series of tries brought the game back to life, and momentum seemed to shift their way. However, a perfectly timed intercept by the Finals MVP dashed any chances of a comeback.
It was the first time all season Taki Men’s fielded a full squad, and while the talent was evident, it was also clear that cohesion in both attack and defense wasn’t quite there. Elements exploited those gaps with precision, particularly in their dump-split combinations, and made every opportunity count.
Congratulations to our brothers from 🫡 a hard-fought, well-deserved win. Your persistence and ex*****on were top-class 👏👏👏
To our families, friends, and loyal supporters – thank you for riding with us through the highs and lows. We’re sorry we couldn’t bring it home this time, but your support means everything 🙏
Taki Men’s will be back. Regrouped, refocused, and ready to reclaim what’s ours 🫡

Despite going down to 2Fresh in the Mix Category, the boys regrouped and got the job done in the Men’s category with a convincing 8-4 victory over 2Fresh 🙌
Team Taki Mens will now lock horns with Team Elementz in the Grand Finals 🤝
