Powerman Finland

As agreed earlier this year with the Powerman organization and the Nordic representatives of it - there will NOT be a Powerman race in Finland 2016.

Basing to the feedback and experiences from 2015 PM here the Duathlon tradition and expectations of the athletes in Finland differs too much from the great Powerman concept.

Kuulimme kisaajia ja palaamme juurille. Edellinen Powerman-kisa Suomessa oli Nuuksion metsien siimeksessä. 2015 palaamme muutamien edellisvuosien SM-maisemiin Nastolaan. Pajulahden urheiluopistolla su 24.5.2015 kisataan duathlonin SM-mitaleista.

Powerman Open Finnish Championships Duathlon in Helsinki 26.4.2015 has been cancelled

I had a dream: Big triathlon race in downtown Helsinki. Last race about 20 years ago ended economically badly. That is why I started the dream building gradually – with Duathlon.

It has taken too long from me to publicly state, that the Powerman Open Finnish Championships Duathlon in Helsinki 26.4.2015 will remain a dream. Dream not shared by enough enthusiast builders nor athletes.

When a Castle in the Clouds collapses, no concrete crumbles. From the ruins we will build a new 2015 National Duathlon Championships and other dreams. More details during the remaining month. Those enlisted will be contacted soon personally. Apologizing the changes to race calendar.

Powerman SM-Duathlon Helsingissä 26.4.2015 on peruttu.

Minulla oli unelma: Iso triathlonkisa Helsingin keskustassa. Edellinen yritys parikymmentä vuotta sitten päättyi taloudellisesti huonosti. Siksi lähdin rakentamaan unelmaa vaiheittain - duathlonista.

On kestänyt liian kauan kertoa julkisesti, että 26.4.2015 Powerman SM-duathlon Helsingissä jää unelmaksi, jota ei jakanut riittävä määrä tasavertaisia rakentajia eikä innokkaita kisailijoita.
Pilvilinnan murtuessa ei betoni rytise. Raunioista rakennamme uutta 2015 Duathlonin SM-kisaa ja muita unelmia, jotka tarkentuvat kuluvan kuun aikana. Osallistumismaksun maksaneihin otetaan yhteyttä henkilökohtaisesti. Kisakalenterimuutoksia pahoitellen.
