🎿 She started in Lammi. Now she's raced across half of Europe.
Sanna Mantere from Hollola skied her first Finlandia Ski Marathon at just 18 years old — and took home the win in her category. That race lit a spark. In 2015, she and her sister Heidi headed to Estonia's Maraton , and since then the sisters have chased the Worldloppet series to Switzerland, Italy, and Sweden's legendary 90km Vasaloppet. Nine marathons down, with just one more (outside Europe) needed to complete their Master Diploma.
It's become a full family affair — their brother races alongside them, their sister crews the support team, and even their dad has laced up his skis a few times.
These days, Sanna also welcomes international visitors to the Worldloppet Lounge at Finlandia Ski Marathon, where skiers from all over the world gather to trade stories and plan their next trip.
A single ski marathon can be the start of something much bigger: new challenges, new friendships, and a passport full of stamps.
