MEET YOUR TEACHERS — JOYCE (Assistant Teacher) ✨

Meet Joyce, one of our Brazilian Zouk assistant teachers — a warm, creative and incredibly welcoming person who has a natural way of making people feel at home.

Communicative and proactive, Joyce brings enthusiasm and dedication to everything she does. She loves meeting new people, discovering different cultures and creating meaningful connections wherever life takes her.

As a mother of two beautiful girls, she knows a thing or two about patience, adaptability and showing up with love — qualities that also find their way into her teaching.

Joyce found her passion in Brazilian Zouk in 2020 and has embraced it as a way to express herself, connect with others and keep discovering new possibilities.

Outside the dance floor, she’s a passionate cook who loves experimenting with new flavors — and a Brazilian at heart with a true traveller’s spirit. ✈️🇧🇷

MEET YOUR TEACHERS — SILVIA ✨

Meet Silvia, a dancer and teacher deeply rooted in the world of Ballet, with a curiosity that has always taken her beyond its boundaries.

For Silvia, dance is a way of exploring, expressing and understanding what captivates her. Her practice has been shaped not only by Ballet, but also by different dance styles, movement approaches and somatic practices — always searching for new perspectives and ways of experiencing the body.

What she enjoys most is being in the studio and sharing the process with others. She believes in collaboration and in the richness that comes from bringing together different stories, backgrounds and ways of seeing movement.

As a teacher, Silvia loves to understand each dancer’s individual journey and needs, adapting her approach to help them discover their own possibilities and unique expression.

She is also passionate about dance history and the dialogue between what has evolved over time and the timeless knowledge that continues to inspire us.

For Silvia, teaching is a continuous exchange: always exploring, always learning, always sharing.

We are lucky to have Silvia as our Ballet teacher and see her bringing so many meaningful projects to our dance studio.

FREDDY

Creative, resourceful and endlessly curious, Freddy is an artist at heart, someone who naturally sees possibilities, connections and stories in the world around him.

Creativity is not simply something he does, but a fundamental part of how he thinks, communicates and experiences life, either through visual storytelling, filmmaking, music, or dance. He loves cinema, storytelling and the process of taking something that exists only as an idea and shaping it into something people can actually see, feel and experience.

Alongside his artistic nature comes a deeply practical side. Focused and incredibly solution-oriented, Freddy is the person who somehow always finds a way to make things work. He enjoys breaking complicated things apart, understanding how they function and finding creative ways to make them simpler, better or more meaningful.

His love language? Acts of service. If something needs to be created, fixed, organized, figured out or simply taken care of, chances are Freddy is already working on it before anyone asks.

Calm under pressure, fiercely loyal and quietly dedicated, Freddy brings together the imagination of an artist and the mind of a problem-solver, a combination that shapes not only what people see at HDC, but so much of what happens behind the scenes.

ANDRESSA

Creative, passionate and deeply involved in every little detail, Andressa is the heart, energy and creative force behind HDC. As a Brazilian Zouk teacher, she loves turning ideas into experiences — from classes and workshops to festivals and events.

She is driven, curious and always looking for ways to improve, create and learn. She cares deeply about the people around her and has a very particular eye for details… sometimes a little too much of them. 😂

For Andressa, dance is not just about steps. It’s about expression, connection, growth and creating a space where people can feel inspired to be themselves.
