La idea de la supremacia absoluta dels imperialistes nord-americans es va veure profundament frustrada a la Guerra de Corea.

El poder polític i ideològic de la RPDC aniquila la superioritat militar i tecnològica dels imperialistes nord-americans.

Quan els imperialistes nord-americans van iniciar la Guerra de Corea, comptaven amb armament militar ultramodern i un poder econòmic incomparable.

Tot i això, el nostre país tot just feia cinc anys que estava en el camí de la construcció d'una nova societat després d'alliberar-se del domini colonial, i només dos anys des de la creació del seu exèrcit regular. La nostra indústria armamentística també es trobava als seus inicis.

La diferència de forces entre l'enemic i l'RPDC en termes de població, extensió territorial, poder econòmic i armament militar era abismal.

Estats Units va mobilitzar al front coreà una vasta força militar composta per un terç del seu exèrcit, una cinquena part de la seva força aèria, la major part de la Flota del Pacífic i tropes dels seus països vassalls, als quals va arrossegar a la guerra abusant del nom de l'ONU, sumant en total més de dos milions d'individus. A més, va malbaratar més de 73 milions de tones de subministraments bèl·lics, una vegada i una vegada la quantitat de material que va gastar durant la Guerra del Pacífic.

Els imperialistes nord-americans van emprendre brutals ofensives, reemplaçant a un general infame per un altre.

La comunitat internacional no preveia que el poble coreà en sortiria victoriós, que en realitat fou un enfrontament entre fusells i bombes atòmiques.

Tot i això, la guerra es va desenvolupar en contra de les seves expectatives.

Els Estats Units, el país més prepotent, presumien de no tenir cap derrota en les seves cent dècades d'història bèl·lica, però van patir greus danys durant els tres anys de guerra.

A terra, les divisions que es creien victorioses van ser exterminades com a rates en un parany, i al cel, els caces considerats símbol de la superioritat aèria van ser enderrocats l'un darrere l'altre.

El creuer pesant nord-americà Baltimore va ser enfonsat al fons del Mar de Corea per només quatre torpediners de l'Exèrcit Popular de Corea.

El nostre Exèrcit Popular va empènyer els agressors a l'abisme de la derrota total mitjançant tàctiques militars úniques, sense precedents en la història de les guerres mundials, com la contraofensiva immediata, l'aniquilació per setge, la guerra de posicions activa, el moviment d'equips de caça d'aeronaus, franctiradors i caçatancs.

Els imperialistes nord-americans no van tenir més remei que patir la derrota després de rebre cops durs a cada pas.

A la Guerra de Corea, els imperialistes nord-americans van patir una pèrdua militar gairebé dos terços més gran que la patida a la Guerra del Pacífic. La grandesa de Corea residia en una poderosa fortalesa política i ideològica que cap altre país podia posseir.

La superioritat numèrica i tecnològica dels Estats Units, la seva crueltat i barbàrie no van poder doblegar la força política i ideològica del nostre poble i exèrcit.

El nostre exèrcit i el nostre poble confiaven plenament que sortirien victoriosos, guiats pel Mariscal Kim Il Sung, el comandant invencible i de voluntat fèrria, malgrat la inferioritat de les seves armes davant de les de l'enemic.

La indomable fortalesa mental dels soldats de l'Exèrcit Popular, que van demostrar valentia pel Partit i el líder, va donar origen a llegendes que van sorprendre tot el món sobre la guerra victoriosa.

La gran victòria a la Guerra d'Alliberament de la Pàtria, en què defensem amb fermesa la primera línia més perillosa de la lluita antiimperialista en una part oriental del món, és una victòria dels defensors sobre els agressors, una victòria de la justícia i el progrés sobre la injustícia i el reaccionari, i una victòria transcendental en la història de la humanitat, que donem sigui, pot doblegar un exèrcit i un poble que s'han alçat en una resistència col·lectiva.

Strength-everything Idea of U.S. imperialists Frustrated Scathingly in Korean War

Political and Ideological Might of DPRK Smashes Military and Technological Superiority of U.S. Imperialists

At the time when the U.S. imperialists started the Korean War, they were possessed of ultra-modern military hardware and incomparably mighty economic power.

However, it had been only five years since our country entered the road for building a new society after shaking off the colonial rule and only two years after the building of the regular army. Our munitions industry, too, was in the early days of its development.

The difference in forces between the enemy and the DPRK in terms of population, size of territory, economic power and military hardware could not be compared.

The U.S. mobilized in the Korean front a vast military force consisting of a third of its army, a fifth of its air force, the bulk of the U.S. Pacific Fleet and troops of its vassal countries it dragged into the war by abusing the name of UN which altogether amounted to over two million individuals. It also squandered over ７３ million tons of war supplies which was １１ times the quantity of the materials it spent during the Pacific War.

The U.S. imperialists undertook vicious offensives while replacing one notorious general with another.

The world people did not anticipate that the Korean people would emerge as a winner in this war, which was in effect a confrontation between rifle and atomic bomb.

However, the war went against their expectations.

The U.S., the most high-handed country, boasted of having no record of defeat in its war history of one hundred and tens of years, but it was badly battered during the three-year war.

On the ground, "ever-victorious divisions" were exterminated like a rat in a trap and in the sky, fighters which had been considered as "symbol of air superiority" were shot down one after another.

The U.S. heavy cruiser "Baltimore" was sunk to the bottom of the East Sea of Korea by only four torpedo boats of the Korean People’s Army.

Our People’s Army drove the aggressors into the abyss of total defeat by applying unique military tactics unprecedented in the world history of wars such as immediate counter-offensive, annihilation through encirclement, active position warfare operation, the movement of aircraft-hunting teams, the snipers’ team movement and the tank hunters’ team movement.

The U.S. imperialists had no alternative but to suffer defeat after receiving a hard blow at every step.

In the Korean War, the U.S. imperialists suffered a military loss which was nearly ２.３ times their loss in the Pacific War.

The might of Korea lay in a powerful political and ideological strength which no other country can possess.

The US’ numerical and technical superiority, cruelty and barbarity couldn’t overwhelm the political and ideological might of our people and army.

Our army and people were full of confidence that they would surely emerge victorious as they were guided by Marshal Kim Il Sung, the invincible and iron-willed commander, though their weapons were inferior to the enemy’s.

The indomitable mental strength possessed by the soldiers of the People’s Army who displayed courage for the Party and the leader gave birth to world-startling legends for the victorious war.

The great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, in which we staunchly defended the most dangerous first line of the anti-imperialist struggle in an eastern part of the earth, is a victory of defenders over aggressors, a victory of justice and the progressive over injustice and the reactionary, and a victory of significance in human history, which proved the iron truth that no aggressors, however outrageous they may be, cannot overwhelm an army and people that have turned out in an all-people resistance.
