🔥 La Cordà de Paterna is one of the most spectacular traditions in the Valencia region. Held on the last Sunday of August, this fire-filled celebration turns Paterna’s Calle Mayor into a unique pyrotechnic show and is recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage event and a Festival of National Tourist Interest.

🚴 Gandia is made for a full day out on two wheels! 🌊

Train from Nord to Gandia. Start at the station and follow the Riu Serpis route down toward the Grau, then take the bike path to the coast, the marina and the promenade. It’s an easy, scenic ride that gives you river, city and sea in one go.

Loop back through the Marjal de Gandia, with a stop at the Marjal visitor centre and a chance to enjoy the wetlands before heading toward the beautifully renovated Castle of Bayrén area for the views.

Then it’s just an easy return to the station — quiet paths, quiet roads and a lovely mix of nature, beach and history all the way.

🚲 Rent your bike and make a day of it.

🌊 Cullera is a perfect mix of coast, river, castle and easy riding! 🚴‍♀️

Arrive by train and start from the station, then follow quiet paths and calm roads down toward the Júcar River (also seen in photo) and out along the promenade. From there, you can keep it simple with a scenic coastal ride, or add a little adventure with a walk up to Cullera Castle for the views over the town, the sea and the river valley.

If you’re in the mood for a longer day out, continue along the coast and finish at Aquópolis Cullera if that’s your thing — a fun end to a relaxed ride by the beach.

It’s one of those routes where you can keep things easy and flat, or add a bit of hill and hiking for the full Cullera experience.

🚲 Rent your bike and explore it your way.

🎬 Valencia by bike, then cinema under the stars!
August evenings in the city are perfect for a relaxed ride through the riverbed and into the centre before heading to Filmoteca d’Estiu in the Jardins del Palau. It’s one of those easy summer plans: pedal in, grab a drink, and enjoy an outdoor film in the middle of the city.

Cycling makes the whole evening feel smoother — no parking stress, just a nice ride and a good movie.

At Beach Bikes, sustainability isn’t a buzzword — it’s built into how we work every day. Here’s what makes our bike rental in Valencia different:

100% renewable energy charging. Every e-bike in our fleet is charged with verified renewable electricity, so your ride stays truly zero-emission from plug to pedal.

No single-use batteries. We use rechargeable batteries for all accessories, including bike lights and devices, helping cut down on disposable waste.

Paper-free self-guided tours. Our free self-guided routes are delivered through a phone app, so there’s no need for printed maps or leaflets.

Cold water refill stations. We encourage reusable bottles with free cold-water refill points on our guided maps, and we also have a water filter in store for staff.

Digital rental contracts. We’ve eliminated paper waste and can send contracts to customers as PDFs for convenience.

Plastic reduction. We’ve stopped using plastic bags and recycle or, where possible, reuse paper and plastic throughout the business.

🚴 Castellón to Nules is a brilliant coastal ride! 🌊

Follow the bike-friendly route from Castellón down toward Burriana, take the Mijares river passing an well preserved look out tower and cycle the coast of Nules and back to the train station. There are quiet sections, coastal views and plenty of flat easy pedalling along the way.

The ride passes near the Mijares river area, the beaches of Burriana, and finishes with the peaceful coastal stretch around Nules — perfect for a relaxed day by the sea.

You can make it an out-and-back ride, or turn it into a longer loop using local bike paths and quieter roads for the return.

Simple, scenic and ideal for a sunshine day out on two wheels ☀️🚲

🌘 A rare August moment in Valencia!
On 12 August, only some parts of eurpoe and spain will experience a total solar eclipse in the early evening — the eclipse begins at 7:38 pm, reaches its peak at 8:33 pm, and totality lasts for about a minute.
It’s a rare chance to see the sky darken in the middle of summer, so head to a good viewing spot and enjoy the moment
It’s the kind of event you don’t get twice in a lifetime, so grab a towel, head to the coast and enjoy the show.
Perfect excuse for an evening by the sea before heading for dinner and drinks after.

✨ Best enjoyed with a bike ride to the beach or our free self guided tour to albufera beaches or lake
