Finding balance and harmony πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

It’s never a dull moment when the Karen McPherson crew come to play πŸ₯°

I decided i would take the ladies a little further than normal this time .. and 12 nervous faces turned to faces of joy, as they discovered β€œthe other side” and that the open sea isn’t such a scary place after all !! 🩡

After a group pow-wow, we decided that the slight swell wasn’t compatible with a yoda session, so we returned to the calm, crystal clear waters of Chicken Bay - for a bit of downward dog!

The session would not be complete witho it Karens excellent SUP handstands!

I’m already looking forward to their return! 🫢🏻

STAND UP PADDLE … For the many, not the few! 🩡

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Kathryn Martin to Mallorca SUPCO yesterday! And what a firecracker she is!

One of our lovely clients, Jackie (that’s a story for another day!), returned to her hotel glowing after a successful lesson. Staying at the same hotel as Kathryn and her mum, she shared her experienceβ€”and Kathryn decided she would like to give it a go!

The next day, Kathryn and her mum popped along, and we had Kathryn up paddling and racing around the bay in no time at all, giving it the same gusto that has helped her achieve such success in the pool!

Kathryn has represented Great Britain through Down Syndrome Swimming Great Britain, an organisation helping swimmers with Down syndrome reach their potential and compete internationally. She’s also won gold in the 200m backstroke at the British Down Syndrome Swimming Championships! πŸ…

Her achievements are a brilliant reminder of why opportunities matterβ€”and why we’ve aimed to make SUP as inclusive as possible from day one.

Yesterday put a huge smile on our faces! 🩡

When life gives you lemons … grab your SUP and head to the sunrise πŸ₯°

I’ve found it a little difficult these weeks to find the right words for social media. Something that normally comes easy to me!

When life gets in the way, the inspiration to be creative takes a bit of a back seat πŸ™ˆ

But then mornings like this happen! We were given the opportunity to do a collab, with the wonderful Ola and Martina 🫢🏻

So with sleepy eyes and busy heads, we chucked our boards on the roof of our van .. and headed to stunning Alcanada for a mini sunrise drone shoot!

And what a stunner it was! We even witnessed the rare site of Menorca creating an incredible Fata Morgana .. giving the illusion that the island had skyscrapers.

Challenges come and go, but memories of mornings like these last a life time! 🩡

Thanks ladies! We hope to see you again for more collaborations in the future β˜€οΈβ˜€οΈ

WHAT DOES CONSCIOUS LIVING LOOK LIKE BESIDE THE SEA IN MALLORCA? 🌊

Conscious living means moving through life with greater awarenessβ€”making intentional choices about how we spend our time, how we care for ourselves, how we treat others and how our actions affect the world around us.

Blue Health brings those same principles to our relationship with water:

Oceans Connected Mallorca - a brand new initiative from Mallorca SUPCO - officially launches with our very first event:

INTO THE BLUE

A one-day Integrated Blue Health workshopβ€”a coastal day of learning, reflection and shared wisdom, rooted in the restorative power of water.

Leading the day is Lizzi Larbalestier, one of the UK’s leading applied Blue Health practitioners, founder of Going Coastal Blue and author of The Healing Power of Water.

For more than 15 years, Lizzi has explored how water and nature can support clarity, wellbeing, decision-making and meaningful change. On Monday 5 October, she brings that knowledge and her deeply practical approach to the shoreline of Port de Pollença.

Mallorca is surrounded by the Mediterranean, with around 550 kilometres of coastline and hundreds of beaches and coves. From pine forests, wetlands and mountains above the waterline to vibrant Posidonia meadows beneath it, the island is alive with nature.

But are its natural landscapes - and the people who live and work here, truly thriving? How can Blue Health help us make better decisions together?

We’ll begin as the sun rises over Puerto Pollensa Bay, with an optional sunrise SUP and beach grounding session. The day then unfolds through learning, reflection, conversation and shared experience, before an optional final dip.

This day is for business owners, coaches, wellbeing practitioners, creatives and community minded humans - and anyone who feels better beside the water and wants to understand why.

No previous knowledge of Blue Health is needed. Just a willingness to slow down, stay curious and spend time by the sea.
