Investing in young people means investing in the future
On World Youth Skills Day, we celebrate the importance of providing young people with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop new skills.
Through sport, young people gain much more than physical abilities. They learn teamwork, resilience, respect, and confidence—skills that stay with them throughout life.
At the FEIB Project, we believe that inclusive sport can empower the next generation and help build stronger, more connected communities across Europe.

The impact of the FEIB Project is already reaching new communities across Europe and beyond.
Our Romanian partner Asociatia Clubul Sportiv Forza Junior Costuleni hosted the Professional Development Activity “Vision”, a training course focused on adapting activities through non-formal education methods for young people with visual impairments.
The activity brought together 31 participants from Romania, Czech Republic, Serbia, Armenia, Georgia, and the Republic of Moldova — including people with visual disabilities and accompanying attendants.
During the programme, participants explored guidance techniques, inclusive theatre, adapted sports, assistive technologies, and practical approaches to making environments more accessible.
A special focus was dedicated to the FEIB Project, with the presentation of its main achievements: the research carried out in partner countries, the V.A.P.E.P. methodology, the Nîmes conference, the online training course for sport operators, and the next steps, including Open Days and inclusive fencing training classes.
Through both theory and practice, the workshops showed how fencing can become an inclusive tool within every community.
Thanks to this mobility, FEIB is now known in even more countries — extending its educational and social impact, and opening new possibilities for inclusion through sport.
Because when knowledge is shared, inclusion grows.

The FEIB project took part in the high-level international coaches’ course organised by the Real Federación Española de Esgrima (Spanish Fencing Federation) at the CSD’s facilities in Madrid.

Coach Adrián Cubela led an introductory session on blind fencing for Spanish and Latin American coaches, sparking great interest amongst them all as they were able to see first-hand the technical feasibility and low implementation costs of this discipline within clubs.

Together, we continue building a sporting culture where everyone belongs.

Another season comes to an end.
As the sports season draws to a close, we would like to thank all the athletes, coaches, volunteers, and families who have been part of this journey.
Throughout the year, fencing has brought people together, creating opportunities for learning, growth, and inclusion both on and off the piste.
This is not goodbye—just a pause before the next chapter.
We look forward to returning in September with new activities, new opportunities, and exciting developments connected to the FEIB Project.
