🇯🇵 470 Pre-Worlds Coaching Clinic | Enoshima 2026
Before the 2026 470 World Championship begins, selected teams from emerging and developing 470 nations will take part in the 470 Pre-Worlds Coaching Clinic in Enoshima.
Over five intensive days, sailors will work alongside experienced coaches on every aspect of championship preparation, including:

⚡ Boat speed & starting
🎯 Racing tactics & decision-making
🌊 Championship routines & race preparation
🏁 The Official World Championship Practice Race
Designed to help teams maximise their performance at the World Championship, the clinic also reflects the International 470 Class’s commitment to developing the sport worldwide and supporting the next generation of international competitors.

US 470 Class has wrapped up the 2026 National Championship (June 15–18) hosted by Windmark Sailing Foundation in West Sayville, NY ⛵️
Over four days, sailors faced everything from strong winds and choppy seas to light and flat conditions, with the final day cancelled due to gusts over 30 knots.

Saturday brought no wind, while Sunday offered only very light conditions on the water. After two days of racing and three races completed at Kieler Woche, the German teams are leading the fleet! 🇩🇪
Simon Diesch and Anna Markfort are in first place, with Malte Winkel and Bente Bülting just two points behind. Third place belongs to Hedvig and Hugo Liljegren.
Tomorrow marks the third day of the next Sailing Grand Slam - SGS event. Fingers crossed that we’ll be able to complete the full racing schedule!
