When asked today by Cecile Gauert, Editor-at-large at Boat International: What would be the one sentence I would tell my clients about the new Delta 72?
The perfect answer would have been:
The Delta 72 is a stunningly fast full-carbon boat, with very low fuel consumption, a thought-through Swedish design and built with love for detail.
Something along those lines. What did I say? She is a stunning carbon boat and I just love the her and its speed.
Hmmm… working on that.
But I do love that boat. And its speed. She goes 32 knots cruising speed and 40 tops. And you barely notice it while planing.
Ted Mannerfelt did an amazing job designing that boat with the stepped hull, so she comes into planing fast.
Not to mention her stylish interior…
In short: we had a blast sea-trialing her at full speed and chasing the sunset.

If the boat moored next to you is Recluta, the famous 67’ classic ketch by Germán Frers…

Recluta was designed by Germán Frers, based on a 1942 drawing by his father, build in Argentina by master boatbuilder Tito Szyka and his team, launched as Réplica in 2021 for Frers’ personal use.
Normally, due to being a Replica, her rating is not the best and therefore she doesn’t end on the podium very often, but this time she did.
Congratulations to the podium in the Vintage Bermudian class at the ###I Illes de Balears Classic regatta. .
It was an honor and big fun competing in the same class with Thea 12mR from 1918 by John Anker. A great week with perfect sailing conditions due to the mallorquín Embat. Someone could have switch es the AC on, but other than that, loved every minute of it.

It’s all about who you share it with. Sailing Thea 12mR at the Illes Balears Classic Regatta was a unique experience.
Thank you for inviting and sharing your knowledge with me. And Andrea, Esben, Tobias, Davo, Francois, Sofie, Lilian, Lina, Peter, Jacob, Ole, Christian, Mette… all of you made it special.
But the A-team on the foredeck did rock! Loved the teamwork.

Forever grateful for being able to experience the solar eclipse on the water in best company on a stunning classic. A night to remember 💫

A very satisfying morning DIY project. The horseshoe buoy was long overdue for replacement—the old one had turned yellowish and sticky.

After several months of waiting, the new one finally made its way to Palma. The first one got lost in transit, and the replacement took a very loooong time to arrive. Worth the wait in the end!

It’s like applying a screen protector perfectly on the first try—only better.
