🐟 Did you know the seabed is full of hidden life?

This is a striped seabream (Lithognathus mormyrus), a common Mediterranean fish you can often find over sandy bottoms.

Watch how it searches through the sand for food. It disturbs the seabed with its mouth, looking for small worms, crustaceans and other tiny creatures hiding underneath.

It’s easy to swim past without noticing, but spend a little more time watching and there’s always something happening.
