Here’s an update on the improvement work being carried out on the 13th hole green. Just like the other renovated greens, it will be seeded with Agrostis in the coming days – a variety that will enable us to continue improving the quality and playability of the course.

🇪🇸 El torneo «Mixed Interclub» se celebró el viernes en Miraflores, donde el equipo de Santa María Golf representó con orgullo a nuestro club. La competición cuenta con cinco equipos de cinco clubes diferentes y, tras esta ronda, Santa María se ha aupado a un impresionante segundo puesto en la clasificación. 🥈👏

Queremos dar las gracias a todos nuestros socios que han participado por su compromiso, entusiasmo y apoyo a lo largo de toda la liga. Agradecemos enormemente vuestra participación.

🇬🇧 The Mixed Interclub took place at Miraflores on Friday, with the Santa Maria Golf team proudly representing our club. The competition features five teams from five different clubs, and following this round, Santa Maria has moved into an impressive second place in the league table.🥈👏

We would like to thank all our members who have taken part for their commitment, enthusiasm, and support throughout the league. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

🇪🇸 La etiqueta en el golf: pequeñas normas, grandes diferencias. 💚

El golf no solo se juega con buenos golpes, también con respeto. Aquí tienes algunas reglas básicas de etiqueta que harán que la experiencia sea mejor para todos:

🤫 Silencio durante el swing.

⏱️ Mantén un buen ritmo de juego. Juega cuando sea tu turno y evita demoras innecesarias.

🌱 Repara los piques en el green. Un pequeño gesto que beneficia a todos los jugadores.

🏖️ Rastrilla los bunkers. Déjalos como te gustaría encontrarlos.

🍃 Repón los chuletas (divots) o utiliza la mezcla de arena y semillas cuando esté disponible.

🚶 Respeta el green. Evita pisar la línea de putt de otros jugadores y no apoyes la bolsa sobre la superficie.

🚗 Conduce el buggy con responsabilidad. Respeta las zonas restringidas y mantente alejado de tees y greens.

Disfruta del juego y respeta a los demás. Un buen comportamiento siempre suma. Porque el mejor golf no solo se mide por el hándicap… también por la actitud. 😉

Golf isn’t just about good shots; it’s also about respect. Here are some basic rules of etiquette that will make the experience better for everyone:

🤫 Keep quiet whilst taking your swing.

⏱️ Maintain a good pace of play. Play when it’s your turn and avoid unnecessary delays.

🌱 Repair divots on the green. A small gesture that benefits all players.

🏖️ Rake the bunkers. Leave them as you’d like to find them.

🍃 Replace divots or use the sand and seed mix where available.

🚶 Respect the green. Avoid stepping on other players’ putting lines and do not rest your bag on the surface.

🚗 Drive the buggy responsibly. Respect restricted areas and stay clear of tees and greens.

Enjoy the game and respect others. Good behaviour always counts for something. Because the best golf isn’t just measured by your handicap… but also by your attitude. 😉

🇪🇸 Los 157 metros del hoyo 12 son pura estrategia. 🎯 Aquí no gana quien pega más fuerte, sino quien sabe colocar la bola en el lugar adecuado. Un par 3 tan atractivo como exigente, de esos que siempre invitan a jugar "una más".

🇬🇧 The 174 yds of the 12th hole are all about strategy. 🎯 Here, it’s not the player who hits the hardest who wins, but the one who knows how to place the ball in the right spot. A par-3 that’s as attractive as it is demanding – the sort that always tempts you to play ‘just one more’.

🇪🇸 Seguimos avanzando con la renovación del campo!

Os compartimos las imágenes de las obras de renovación del green del hoyo 14. En esta fase hemos instalado un nuevo sistema de drenaje, incorporando las diferentes capas drenantes que garantizarán un excelente comportamiento del green en el futuro.

Los trabajos continúan con el moldeo final del perímetro y la renovación integral de los bunkers adyacentes, mejorando tanto la funcionalidad como la estética de esta zona del recorrido.

🇬🇧 We’re continuing to make progress with the course renovation!

Here are some photos of the renovation work on the 14th hole green. In this phase, we’ve installed a new drainage system, incorporating various drainage layers that will ensure the green performs excellently in the future.

Work is continuing with the final shaping of the perimeter and the complete refurbishment of the adjacent bunkers, improving both the functionality and aesthetics of this area of the course.

Every detail counts when it comes to providing a course in the best possible condition! 💚🏌️‍♂️
