📈A global metric for prioritizing load management and clinical interventions.
🔥The TRI (Thermal Risk Index) is a scale from 0 to 100 indicating the body’s stability regarding thermal asymmetries. A highly imbalanced body carries higher risk, whereas athletes closer to symmetry present a safer profile.
💻Discover how to incorporate the TRI into your athlete management and monitoring protocols.

📸💉The integration of infrared thermography into the clinical practice of aesthetic medicine offers benefits at multiple levels that go far beyond standard visual documentation.
The 🔥 hyperthermic peak acts as an indirect physiological marker of a successful injection into the deep depressor muscles, and the normalization, where acute inflammatory and vasomotor signals decrease, establishes a new homeostatic microcirculatory baseline, which is critical to the success of the procedure.

🏆⚽️ Following a World Championship marked by competitions under extreme conditions and an intense summer heatwave, athletes and technical staffs are asking two fundamental questions. First: what low-cost strategies can be applied during training and competition to keep body temperature low and optimize performance? (Wegmann et al., 2012). Second: what body cooling interventions are truly effective between sessions to accelerate recovery? (Poppendieck et al., 2013).
🧊 A literature review has revealed that the best and most accessible practices to lower body temperature involve full-body immersion or direct contact with ice.

Speed or accuracy? You no longer have to choose.
📸⚡Manual thermal image processing has long been a bottleneck in sports science, demanding hours of tedious work and introducing human bias.
A new international study published in the Journal of Thermal Biology, led by Dr. Jose Ignacio Priego-Quesada, provides robust scientific validation for ThermoHuman:
🔹 0.0°C Mean Bias: Accuracy fully equivalent to an expert human evaluator.
🔹 93% Time Saving: Processing time dropped from 28.7 hours to just 2 hours.
🔹 High Precision: Out of 1,672 regions analyzed, only 1.08% required minor adjustments.
Automating data collection allows practitioners to shift their focus from time-consuming processing to what truly impacts performance: data interpretation and athlete care.
Sincere appreciation to the research team for advancing the science of thermal imaging! 👏

Are we truly individualizing athlete recovery, or just repeating generic protocols? 🏃♂️📊
Different players exposed to the exact same workload can yield radically opposite physiological responses.
With infrared thermography, we can break down post-exercise fatigue into actionable data:
🔴 Hyperthermic Profile ➡️ Structural damage & inflammation (Needs cooling)
🔵 Hypothermic Profile ➡️ Metabolic fatigue & CNS exhaustion (Needs heat)
🟢 Neutral Pattern ➡️ Optimal workload assimilation (Needs passive rest)
By using advanced metrics like our Thermal Status Index (TSI), sports scientists and medical staffs can map out precise, data-driven recovery paths.
