Trails of the Alhambra

The last time we checked, Spain had 9,000+ kilometers (almost 5600 miles) of gravel roads, which lace the Iberian Peninsula from the French border to Portugal's Atlantic coast. If you start from Granada, we'd guess that you can access most of these gravel roads by stitching them together as you go.
Better yet, make Granada your base and you can ride literal circles around the city without much overlap.

Lace up your hiking shoes and visit some of Granada's lesser-known sites without leaving the city limits. There's a reason why Granada is Spain's stealth cycling destination: there's epic ride year-round riding that's mostly unspoiled by traffic.

This image was taken at the Quéntar reservoir just up the road from Granada. From here you can go up, up, up or just casually roll back down and do a flat spin upriver (or down). You've got options, come check them out!
