Daily Race Unpacks with Ashleigh Moolman Pasio | Stage 4 Tour of Britain
Stage 4 was always going to be a hard day — 138km, around 2,200m of climbing and relentless up-and-down terrain.
A brave solo move from Fleur Moors. A crash that split the race. Kim Le Court-Pienaar suddenly isolated in the leader’s jersey. Movistar attacking. Lorena Wiebes fighting her way back. And a finale where almost everyone was simply trying to protect what they had left.
Kim stayed calm, covered the important moves and still finished third, while Lorena Wiebes somehow survived another brutally hard day and won again without her usual lead-out.
Stage 4 had far more going on than the final sprint suggests.

Lorena Wiebes won Stage 1 of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women. But the real story wasn’t just the sprint.
It was written in the countless attacks from everyone else trying to stop the inevitable Team SD Worx - Protime lead-out.
Crosswinds on the coast. Attacks over the climbs. A solo move from the youngest rider in the race. A QOM jersey secured by the skin of her teeth.

Wow! What a day!
Yesterday, Kasia rode away from Demi Vollering on Mont Ventoux.
Today, Demi and FDJ-SUEZ found another gear...and took yellow back.
That’s this Tour in a nutshell. 8 stages and 6 different stage winners, and the yellow jersey held by 4 different riders...unpredictable and undeniably exciting!
The question on everyone’s minds is...will it change hands again tomorrow? 💛💛💛
