Sometimes the ocean gets quiet for some time and it looks like there are no waves at all.
My advice is, watch and observe the surfspot setup for at least 10 minutes before you go inside to surf. This time gives you hints about the conditions and you know exactly what awaits you in the water.

Catching green waves is a huge step for every new surfer. You need to learn how to paddle out, how to position in the line up, rules of the line up, right-of-way rules, reading waves and perfect paddle plus pop-up timing.

Windy times here in Fuerteventura at the moment. During the summer season the N and NW winds are very strong, long period groundswells are missing and therefore very good surfing conditions are pretty rare. Nevertheless, you have to stay conected to the ocean ... and it‘s always worth it!!

The surfers „Code of Ethics“ or „Surfer‘s Etiquette“ are rules, implemented to surfing in order to make sure every surfer, independent of the level, stays safe in the water.
