INDOOR TRAINER COMPATIBILITY
Use a Direct Drive trainer only — the kind where you remove the rear wheel and mount the bike straight onto the trainer's cassette. (Our first recommendation is still the outdoors. It has better graphics... :-)
Known compatible models (others may work too):
Wahoo: KICKRmove, KICKR, KICKR 2, KICKRcore
Elite: Justo 2, Rivo, Rivo Zwift cog&click, Avanti Zwift cog&click, Turno
Tacx: Neo 2T, Neo 3M, Flux 2, Flux S
Two things to check:
Frame fit: the U.P.|U.P.PER. 2.0 uses a 142x12 thru-axle (M12x1.0 thread). Some trainers need an adaptor.
Groupset fit: trainer compatibility is with our frame — your cassette is a separate question. Not all trainers support 13s, or they may need an adaptor.

UP 2.0 - BIG CHAINRING ANYONE? (MAXIMUM COMPATIBLE CHAINRING)
-Shimano GRX 1x: 52T (Shimano offers up to 46T, aftermarket aero rings from for example WolfTooth available up to 52T)
-SRAM AXS 1x: 52T (SRAM offers up to 50T, aftermarket aero rings from for example WolfTooth available up to 52T)
-Shimano GRX 2x: all cranksets (maximum offered is 48-31T)
-SRAM AXS 2x: all cranksets (maximum offered is to 50-37T)
Note: "Standard" oval rings usually fit 2 teeth bigger than their round counterparts (i.e. a 42T oval ring fits like a 44T round ring) so deduct 2T from the above. For heavily ovalized rings, the delta is larger.

For serious gravel and off-road (on any brand of bike), we recommend a rear derailleur with a clutch or cage damper for chain management. The UP|UPPER 2.0 is compatible with the following electronic groupsets:
- All SRAM AXS
- All Shimano GRX Di2
- Campagnolo 1x: Record X & Super Record X with nano clutch rear derailleur
- Campagnolo 2x: Record Allroad & Super Record Allroad with nano clutch rear derailleur

T47
Our 2.0 models come with T47 threaded bottom bracket (internal cups) with 85.5mm wide BB shell
Note: Unbelievable :-) but the bike industry has managed to have TWO standards for internal cup T47 setups: 85.5mm and 86.5mm BB shell widths. And this makes a difference, so it's important to get a BB designed for 85.5mm wide shells, or use a 0.5mm spacer on each side if you use a BB made for 86.5mm shells (this is why we decided to go with 85.5mm, as it means you can fit either BB).

The UP 2.0 family comes in three versions, from pure race machine to fully bikepacking-ready — with the same trademark OPEN handling throughout:
UPPER 2.0: Superlight frame, aero fork. Rivnuts for a toptube bag and BB bag or toolbox.
UP 2.0: Aero fork, three extra rivnuts under the toptube for a strapless frame bag (custom bag makers supported; dedicated Apidura bag coming end 2026).
UP 2.0 Adventure: All the above frame cargo options plus the comfort cargo fork with slots for the world's lightest bag attachment — no cage required.

Race oder Adventure? Warum eigentlich entscheiden? 😉
