📢 AN UPDATE FROM THE OLD PAL 📢
Hi everyone,
After a lot of consideration, we have made the decision to cancel our Sunday music and entertainment for the time being.

We know this will be disappointing for many of you. We know how much our customers have enjoyed spending their Sundays with us and enjoying the fantastic performers.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and we're genuinely sorry to anyone who will be disappointed by the change. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our Sunday entertainment, and to all the wonderful entertainers who have performed for us. Special shout out to Gary Barnes and Emma Blacka who have been the biggest support to us since we opened, we are very grateful to them both.

The bar is open from 2pm everyday other than Tuesdays.
This week we have:
Games Day 🎲 - Wednesday 3-6pm with Gary Barnes
Emma Jensen 🎤 - Thursday 4-5:30pm

Happy Hour 🍹 - EVERYDAY 5-7PM!

Emma will be performing from 4–5:30PM, bringing you a great mix of songs and favourites to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

Just a reminder that we have a private party on Thursday, so although we'll be at the bar, we won't be open to the public.

We will be taking a little break from Saturday 15th – Thursday 20th August.
We'll be back open on Friday 21st August from 2PM 🍻
*There is a private event on Thursday 20th August, so although we'll be at the bar, it won't be open to the public that day.

📢 A FEW UPDATES FROM THE OLD PAL 📢

🎶 Sunday Sessions will be taking a short summer break. The bar will still be open every Sunday, but our live music will return on Sunday 23rd August. We’d like to thank everyone who has supported Sunday Sessions over the past year, and we look forward to welcoming you all back when they return.

🎲 Games Day – Wednesday 29th July has been cancelled due to the funeral of our old pal, Paul Hughes.

Thank you all for your understanding and your continued support. We look forward to seeing you at the bar over the summer, and we’ll be back with Sunday Sessions before you know it! 🍻

Yesterday, alongside our usual Games Day, Phil and Fay organised a raffle to help raise money towards the funeral costs of Paul Hughes.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, bought raffle tickets, and donated. Thanks to your generosity, an amazing €500 was raised! This will be passed on to the organisers of Paul’s funeral, which will take place on Wednesday 29th July.

On Sunday morning, Paul Hughes, a well-known and much-loved member of the Sloop and Old Pal community, passed away peacefully in his sleep.

We only had the pleasure of knowing Paul for a year, but from the moment we opened, he was always incredibly kind and supportive. Many people would ask after him whenever they visited The Old Pal. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Paul’s family have set up a GoFundMe to help give him the send-off he deserves. The link is below for anyone who would like to contribute.
