time I worked as a part time instructor teaching Arabic as a second language in the American university in Cairo. A. thesis focused on the aspects of language breakdown and tested the efficiency of a diagnostic test assessing language development to detect impaired areas. My PH.D. Thesis built a new one to assess the fully developed language in both aspects prosody and pragmatics. It was because of the details of the levels of prosody that I had to read deeply in acoustics phonetics and apply its details to my students speech to remedy broken areas and bring their speech as close as possible to the normal flow of children of the same age. In 2003 I left my job as a speech therapist to be an affiliated teacher in the American university and teach Arabic to all levels of students and to natives using “alkitab AlAssassy” and “el kitab” and most of the time tailoring my syllables from external materials in books and in newspapers and on nets. I am always a linguistic consultant in my brother small company “ Univoix”, where we are trying to build a limited vocabulary “TTS” and “ ASR” Arabic programs to be used mainly by banks and companies I Egypt, Suadi Arabia and the gulf countries. I am supervising a linguistic team to build the memories of these two programs through all the steps till the two programs are able to read in a prosody as near as possible to human prosody and till the “ASR” program is able to understand speech with the highest percentage of accuracy possible. This in brief is summary of my teaching history and also the reason for my wish to teach away from my university. Best regards and many thanks.
