About us:
The Dance Society Lee is a folk dance group which has been active in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, since 1980 – in 2015 it celebrated its 35th jubilee. Today the main group of the society consists of young people who love Estonian folk dance and each other's company. Our dances have been guided by life and feelings - some of them are swift and fun, some thoughtful and soulful. We often present our skills in various performances – in schools, business events and culture festivals. During the years active we have participated in all of the national dance festivals which take place in Estonia every 2 or 3 years. The Dance Society Lee and its creator, Maido Saar, have also contributed in continuance of the traditional summer camps for young dancers in the years between the national festivals. These camps are very popular in Estonia. We have also participated in different project and festivals held abroad – for example in Sweden, Russia, Hungary, China and most recently in Italy, in Macedonia and in Greece. Contact us:
