Sidney John has successfully completed the NORCECA Continental International Referees Course and has now been recognized as an International Referee Candidate. Congratulations, Sidney, as you continue your journey toward earning your International Beach Volleyball Referee designation.

Congratulations also to Kaya Cuffy and Yackim Jno Baptiste, who completed the ECVA National Referees Course. Your commitment to developing your officiating skills will play an important role in raising the standard of beach volleyball officiating in Dominica.

Special recognition goes to FIVB Referee Julian Seraphine, who served as an instructor for the National Referees Course, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with the next generation of officials.

To cap off an excellent championship, our referees once again demonstrated the confidence they have earned on the regional stage, with Sidney and Johnny being appointed to officiate medal matches.

Dominica continues to invest in the growth of beach volleyball through education and development.

Congratulations to Zahidu Henry and Omari Hilaire on successfully completing the FIVB Beach Volleyball Coaches Course held in St. Kitts & Nevis. Their achievement marks another important step in strengthening the technical foundation of the sport at home.

We also congratulate Yahn Florent and Ray Robinson, who completed the Advanced Beach Volleyball Coaching Program held alongside the course. Their commitment to expanding their knowledge and refining their coaching expertise will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the development of our athletes.

We commend all four coaches for their dedication to continuous learning and look forward to seeing the positive influence they will have on beach volleyball in Dominica.

Another tournament, another men’s final between Dominica and St. Lucia.

Our boys gave it everything they had, battling from start to finish, but came up just short to claim the silver medal at the ECVA U20 Beach Volleyball Championships.

A commendable effort from the team throughout the tournament, showing resilience, determination, and tremendous growth every step of the way.

Dominica wrapped up another exciting day at the ECVA U20 Beach Volleyball Championships with plenty to celebrate.

Ciera and Delila endured a challenging start, falling to Grenada in the Round of 12 before suffering a second defeat to Anguilla. The pair responded brilliantly in their final match of the day, producing a confident performance to defeat hosts St. Kitts & Nevis and close out their campaign on a high.

Our boys continued to showcase their quality and composure on the sand, opening the day with a convincing Round of 12 victory over the British Virgin Islands before battling past St. Kitts & Nevis in a thrilling contest to secure their place in the semifinals.

They will return to the sand tomorrow morning to face Antigua and Barbuda for a place in the championship match.

The stage is set for the start of the ECVA U20 Beach Volleyball Championships in St. Kitts & Nevis, with pool play getting underway tomorrow, Friday, July 10.

Dominica’s girls will open their campaign at 9:00 a.m. against Bermuda before returning to the sand later in the day to face hosts St. Kitts & Nevis and St. Maarten.

The boys begin their tournament at 10:00 a.m. against Anguilla, followed by a 12:00 p.m. showdown with St. Kitts & Nevis.

Dominica’s referees are hard at work in St. Kitts & Nevis as preparations continue for this weekend’s major beach volleyball event.

The referee development programmes combine extensive classroom instruction with practical on-court sessions, ensuring participants gain both the theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience needed to officiate at a high level.

Yackim and Kaya are currently participating in the ECVA National Beach Volleyball Referees Course, while Sidney is taking part in the NORCECA Continental International Beach Volleyball Referees Course.

Adding to Dominica’s presence, Dominican FIVB International Referee Julian Seraphine is serving as one of the instructors for the ECVA National Beach Volleyball Referees Course, bringing his wealth of knowledge and international experience to help develop the next generation of officials.

Our Dominican contingent in St. Kitts & Nevis is making the most of the occasion by fully immersing themselves in volleyball.

Our athletes were on the sand from 7:30 a.m. as they kicked off their Advanced Beach Volleyball Training Program, while coaches Ray and Yahn began their own advanced coaching sessions, continuing their journey to develop the sport at home.

Meanwhile, Sidney is underway with Day 1 of the NORCECA Continental International Referees Course, adding another important dimension to Dominica’s volleyball development.

The Men’s Division 2 regular season of the KFC National Volleyball League has come to an exciting close! 🏐🔥

Club One B overcame a determined KT Tacklers outfit in a competitive encounter, with the Tacklers celebrating their first set win of the season despite falling 3-1.

In the final match of the regular season, Portsmouth Breakerz finished strongly with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over R&D Academy in a fiery contest between two playoff-bound teams.
