dance. With over 100 students at our academy , there is a broad range of activities. From our beginners class 'Ællinger'(Ducklings) through to teenager and youth groups, ballet&music history classes, special events for school classes and more-there is never a dull moment. Since 2007 Sønderjyllands Danseakademi benefits from the privilege of being one of four external schools in Denmark that can offer teaching in a Royal Ballet School Talent group. Here we provide training for our most engaged and talented students under the professional consultancy of the Royal Ballet School in Copenhagen. At least once a year each student is offered the possibility to participate in a stage performance at i.e. Sønderborg Theater, Alsion Concert Hall, The Royal Theater in Copenhagen, Esbjerg Concert Hall as well as venues in Åbenrå, Kolding and Flensburg. Here it's all about taking what we have learned in the studio and by working together, developing presentation skills and creating our own special kind of magic on stage. Through an established network to other culture-and sporting institutions in Denmark and Germany we are able to provide a creative environment with the possibility to work and exchange ideas by collaborating with for instance Sønderjysk Pigekor, South Denmark Philharmonic Orchestra, Sønderjyllands Kunstskole, Esbjerg Kulturskole, Tønder Kulturskolen and TSB Flensborg.
