MELGES 24 DK NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP -15-17 SEPT.
Here’s an update on The Danish National Championship and answers to a few FAQs:

* Registration is through Brejning Harbour’s website… It is NOT possible to see how many who have signed up.

* Current Status: Only 5 Danish boats have signed up for the Open Danish Championship, which is also part of the Melges European Sailing Series…. We hope more international boats will come too.

* Requirement: It takes at minimum of 10 Danish Melges in order to be considered a “real” national championship AND… It takes at minimum a total of 10 Melges from any country to be considered an official European Sailing Series event.

It links to an H-boat/H-baad form, but when “Melges 24” is selected as the boat type, one more crew member will appear.

* Payment: When you get to the payment section, please note - there is no IBAN and SWIFT code option… So skip the payment and write me an email, then we will discuss payment options.

The Danish Melges 24 Class Association send a massive thanks to Henrik Borch / Vallensbæk Sailing Club from the Race Committee, as well as Christian Lerche, our preferred Race Officer and Director of the Danish Sailing Union, and all 15 crews from around the world for giving 200%!! Racing and post-race dockside drinks were top!

Melges 24 European Sailing Series 2023 - Pacific Yankees take victory at Melges 24 Pre-Worlds Champagne sailing - that's how the participants were describing the Melges 24 Pre-Worlds in Middelfart, Denmark over two days this weekend!

UPDATE 8:44: Time to get ready for day 3 in the Danish National Championship at Sundby Sejlforening, just outside Copenhagen.

▶️ DAY 1 - 3 races completed in light wind completed after the fog cleared

Today marks day 1 of the Danish National Championship in Copenhagen with 10 boats ready to race - but no wind.

AP stands due to heavy fog (finally clearing) and zero wind on the course.

Let’s hope things pick up!
